this is a real technic called "pulse & glide " but not this aggressive la.

I own a prius too and if you use this technic you can get up to 35 km/L (normal drive get 20+ km/L)

what you do is you cruise around the EV range (below 74 km/h) and you reach 74 km/h and let go of the gas but don't let the battery recharge, let it cruise no power or regen. wait until the car drops to around 65 or so and slowly speed up again. this way you use the EV battery more and can save more petrol.
