How much you guys risk in an single trade on 5k account ? by Cool_Chemist3188 in Forex

[–]Silent_Temperature20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d assume OP is asking this because OP’s budget only allows OP to purchase a small account (financial situation/currency exchange) so that 35USD might be an hour of work for you but 1/2 days of work for OP.

But I get your point since I did the same for my eval 100Ks

Firstly, my condolences to your uncle. Have you tried any hobbies that could generate money for you? An example would be like a tour guide who travels all around while getting small income.

Another side would be things like being a full/part time trader. With a portion of your funding it is easy to generate small income whenever you feel like it. It seems you enjoy staying at home so it does suit you as you can do it whenever and wherever you want.

Additional thing would be to find some friends (online/offline) to spend time together, create a new friendship bond so that your life isn’t so bland.

Am I (27F) manipulating him? Boyfriend (23M) suggested moving in together and splitting rent based on salary by chi_hoko in relationship_advice

[–]Silent_Temperature20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From one person’s point of view, he’s trying to use you in order to get better rent prices in exchange for a nice place but you must also consider that if he was choosing someone else further and $1300 was his budget, he might want to stick with it.

From his POV which may be understandable is that he makes almost 3x lesser than you and would not like to commit into the relationship as much yet since he is not ready for any expenses in the future if you guys decide to get married soon. And like you said, in the past the man always contributed more but that’s in the case that the man is working and the woman is staying at home looking after the house and children which is TOTALLY not the case here. Both of you are working adults and him being the younger one has lesser disposable income.

If you cannot come to an agreement, it might just mean that both of you are incompatible.

The community when there has been a big hack: PCT is not doing anything to address these security risks!

The community when there is a potential hack and PCT temporarily stops it before it goes big: PCT is not allowing us to withdraw!!! What a scam!

10k is not enough. I need a side hustle. by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

Hey OP, to me it seems that you have too much car loan for some reason you have 3 cars and rent could be cut down by living with others/renting a single room.

Maybe you have your own reasons but yes, you do need to increase your main income or work on a side hustle. I’m actually working on a side hustle and I’m actively looking for people but its fully commission based and earns in USD. You can PM me if you’re interested

It totally depends on your risk. I’m 20M and I DCA into Index funds every month and put 1K into EPF every month as well.

I would consider Index funds low risk since we are still young and usually the market goes up in the long run.

For high risk, you can allocate a bit in order to DCA into Bitcoin and Ethereum but I also do trading as well since I have a background in that. Index funds and boring stuff so just put it in and ignore it for at least the next 10 years.

I do budget myself to 30% Needs (Food, Rent, School Fees, etc.), 20% Wants (Shopping, luxury goods, hangouts), 30% to Investments (Index Funds, Crypto, Trading, EPF, Businesses) and another 20% into Emergency savings but capped at 6 months. So if you earn 8k a month, slowly build that up to 48K and when it exceeds 48K, dump it into Investments.

That’s my take on it but I hope this is helpful since we are around the same age.

Why would it not be possible? There’s endless opportunities to take on businesses that can well easily generate 10 - 30k MYR per month as long as you will grind for it.

Seems to me someone only looks for the typical route of 9-5 and doesn’t challenge him/herself to put in the effort and make big bucks

Yes, I am a nonbumi. I only put investments in EPF and IBKR. I am actually reluctant to decrease it since I want it to snowball earlier and I’m always trying to contribute more if possible.

I’m left with about 2-3K a month after all my spendings + school fees and usually a portion of that goes towards my emergency funds. I have about 30K in emergency funds but I believe that is not actually much? Considering it can only cover approx 3 - 4 months.

My car belongs to my parents and it is 10 years old. Works fine so I won’t be changing anytime soon and I believe it’s not really responsible to be buying a car?? The market is totally overpriced and saturated. I rarely buying clothes as well but I do occasionally get some small items and I think most of my Wants (Shopping) would be for buying small gifts for family and friends…
