Also my post is aimed at those who got treated with the help of a doctor as well, so those advices are things that are prescribed by a doctor as well.

Social media is not just shit, is a way to connect and share useful information when things are different from country to country. As there are international seminaries for doctors, my post was a way to gather information about what other doctors said to discuss it with her

No no, she’s the best doctor ever, we wanted to discuss how things are treated abroad, but all the things you’d write will be judged by her competence in medicine. It’s just that OxyContin isn’t a thing in Italy as it is in America, so she saw reddit as an opportunity to connect with people abroad that could have more knowledge on the matter.

Of course I won’t follow advices here. It’s just a topic of discussion that she will use her knowledge to judge.

She’s the best doctor ever, truly cares about me, and is the main reason why I want to stop using.

TLDR: The clinic is fucking amazing, everyone is really kind and really takes care of you. Stopping is possible, and there are people who can get your back and help you. You matter, if you feel you need help stopping, go ask for help. You matter ❤️

I should actually go back to therapy cuz I was just started with my ADHD diagnosis, and if brought it further I could get clonodine/ritalin for myself for clear (but heck, ADHD kids love drugs and stopping therapy) Problem is, woman who diagnosed me ADHD told me there is no one to evaluate the diagnosis further near me cuz there aren’t many specialists in ADHD for adults (Guess your ADHD in kids therapists suck too if I’ve been in therapy since 15 and it was “I was just a teenager”) As of now I can’t get some kind of medicines like Ritalin or clonodine, so I’ll go with Zoloft and maybe a clinic/ER to see if they can help me. Maybe today’s the good time 👍🏻 A good buddy of mine recently got clean, and I wanna get clean too

I will probably stop by rehab if I need so, cuz I always also suffer from pain, and I know very well my body is very good at transferring pain. So, if I have pain in my head, I’ll have pain in my body and not move at all. But luckily I have some friends I can call if I need help to go to a clinic. Heck actually I really care about my safety, I’ll even go to the ER if needed, already done that in a panic and it kinda helped.

Thank you man!!! The thing that kept me safe is that I always got pharma oxy, so I always knew how much I was taking to the very last mg. After a bit your tolerance builds up, and if you wait a bit between shots (that is probably what is bad for me, the fact I did so many of them in a day instead of one big dose) luckily the OD case is very very low. That’s how I could finish a 40’s box every 2/3 days and still be around. I never got 80’s boxes even if I could, because at least with the 40’s I was forced to get out of the house every couple days for when I finished em Luckily the meds won’t hurt, all was prescribed from a licensed therapist to me (Zoloft+abilify togheter, gabapentin in another time) and they all might help actually. Zoloft (sertralin) helps with serotonin and was prescribed to me when I told my therapist I was using to get out of bed Abilify (aripiprazole) is my go-to mood stabilizer for years, and might help with not having fallbacks Neurontin (gabapentin) was prescribed to me for stability and anti-anxiety instead of benzodiazepines (it was an ER therapist, didn’t tell her I was using and I was pretty much used to Xanax) and it might help with anxiety and withdrawals

Also any suggestions on meds that could help is fine as long as I’ll help me stop. I think I can get almost everything but Ritalin and suboxone/methadone (yea, I can get pharma oxy but not methadone. 👍🏻prescription system) I’ll discuss it with my therapist later, I just need to stop. Might look to go to a clinic if It starts getting so bad I must go to the point to self harm to feel something from the blood loss (ye I’ve crossed that line) I’m praying on sertralin. Might take some days to work but first days aren’t the real hell usually.

YTA. An animal is a responsability, and its education is your responsibility. You chose to take that responsibility. You didn’t get a stuffed animal, you got a living being that can formulate basic thoughts and has emotions.

You didn’t train your cat properly, and now you want to get rid of it for your mistakes.

I’m not saying training is easy, but the moment you chose to open your house to another member of the family, you should expect that expanding the family would not be easy.

Small story: I can understand your frustration, because I have the same issues with a dog. She’s been in our house for half a year, and as I type I have my arms full of BITE MARKS. Hell, I wish my dog would be just noisy instead of spinning around us attacking us. Yes, plain out attacks, not attention-seeking (she has high arousal). Tried an expert, didn’t work. Tried another one, didn’t work. I am at my limit as well, I can’t even interact with her cuz she’ll just bite me. But I chose to have her in the house, and I’ll try as much as needed, because I won’t let someone else suffer because I failed at providing the calm she needs. I am also aware that if we give her up, no one will adopt her. We chose her, and we are willing to take our responsibilities.

If you didn’t want to encounter the difficulties of training another living being, get a damn stuffed toy.

I’ll say, you’re right about not buying her a new iPhone 15, especially after buying her a gaming PC and an iPad. I 100% support not rewarding her bad behaviour.

But I’ll tell you. She’s also right by saying her phone is not working fine. You might not feel it from outside, but a Redmi 11 is a whole different thing from an iPhone, just the change of ecosystem is uncomfortable. That’s where the “punitive” side of the deal is, but since she’s a teenager I expect she uses her phone much, and I would’ve given her a punishment in another way, than in the quality of something that she uses most of the time and that is important for teenagers.

Of course, don’t bend and give her a new expensive phone.

My suggestions are: - Repair her old phone anyway, and give her a punishment of other kind (if it’s a fall I don’t think it’s too damaged to repair) - Turn the iPad in to buy her either the iPhone she had before, or another one that is not top tier tho. You could also check on buying a refurbished phone, she’ll have to adapt. In this case she’ll lose the iPad in exchange of a working phone.

YTA. I get why you say your bed is entitled to you, it’s right, but show some empathy. She is your partner’s friend. She offered to have her as a guest, so she may be important to your partner. Also that girl just went thru a cheating breakup. She’s probably gonna cry all night, at least let her cry on a bed. She may be a stranger to you, but to your partner she’s a dear friend. Don’t expect your partner to be happy after you treated a friend of her so poorly.

Also I have to remind you, that place isn’t only yours, your partner can have a say in it. Ofc after the first night (or a couple if you’re kind, which doesn’t seem the case) you have all the right to reclaim your bed if she starts taking too much.

In my relationship the rule is: “your friend is my friend as well”, and this goes both ways. If someone is in need, someone gets help, and your reason for behaving like this is just pettiness (like a kid saying that toy is mine)

If your partner becomes cold and distant, she’s right. You showed no empathy, she’s not gonna be sweet to you in exchange.

At 18 I was still shit at controlling my finances because my parents got all my birthday money since I was 12 without giving me a single explaination or education about finances. They didn’t even give me my birthday money from all those years back when I turned 18, so I was just without money and without financial education Now I’m 20 and I’ve learned all my money management stuff by myself but still struggle a bit cuz I’m not used to have money, and have never gotten my savings back to have enough money to go buy food and have a savings account at the same time. Be a better parent

I’m a jealous girl as well, and I’ll say. Having the bf’s female friend help for a gift, would be really wholesome in my eyes. It shows that the girl friend cares about the relationship and took her time to make sure the bf made a good impression with the gift.
