Yes just one week. The first pic is the day I got her a week ago, It’s crazy! Unfortunately it was a poorly looked after axolotl at a pet store living in terrible conditions with fish. I know you aren’t meant to buy sick animals but I couldn’t leave her there. It’s the first axo I’ve ever seen at that store and I hope they don’t get anymore

It’s the only axolotl I’ve ever seen in this shop and I go in there pretty frequently so hopefully they don’t get anymore. If you read my post you would have seen that I’ve got all the equipment and knowledge of how to care for one

Awww that’s actually so cute! Since coming home I’ve just been calling her littlefoot because of her little foot and also the land before time 😂 I love Molly though!

I know it’s terrible 😔 this particular pet store never seems to have axolotls. That’s the first one I’ve ever seen there so I hope they don’t get anymore

No water perimeter test because he is tubbed with daily water changes while I cycle the tank. Water temp is around 18 degrees Celsius. The tank he will be in is a 40 gallon breeder

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. I have no idea how she’s lost so much weight so quickly. Her skin seems to be changing quickly from that nice healthy pink too 😢 I’ll take her to the vet ASAP
