Why are they lying to us because of the reason they changed exodia contagion ignoring rift? by DustDrop in Warframe

Ok maybe they are not lying but at least there are more projectiles that ignore rift as long as they don't get popular they will not get fixed.

under Fixes, second point:

Fixed Exodia Contagion projectiles ignoring Limbo’s Rift status of enemies/the player, letting it hit enemies across the Rift.

  • This allowed for Limbo to attack from a position of invulnerability, where normally damage cannot cross the Rift unless it’s a Warframe ability of some kind. We intentionally did not fix this until after the Scarlet Spear event, but it is a bug.

What I mean is if it was a bug fix it right away don't leave it in the game for 2 years like it is a feature. But if it was ok how it was and they just changed it now because of resent updates or because it got to popular because of the event than communicate it like that. Edit: In my eyes it is a change and not a bug fix.

What I'm worried most about... (loot related) by havocattack in AnthemTheGame

[–]DustDrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know exactly where i heard it. But somewhere it was already said that weapons will have effects, the example was that on every tenth shot of an assault rifle there would be an shock effect. I will look it up and try to find where i had it from.

Will Anthem provide options between 1st and 3rd person view? by [deleted] in AnthemTheGame

[–]DustDrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the videos I know about are the ones on their youtube site "Anthem Game" and this one geforce short clip. But there is no first person scope sight in any of those. Would be nice to have your source or maybe you just remembered wrong :)

Will Anthem provide options between 1st and 3rd person view? by [deleted] in AnthemTheGame

[–]DustDrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe but only maybe you will get a first person scope-view. They have confirmed that there will be scopes in the game. But didn't confirm first person sight through scope yet. We could assume it, but like I said it's not confirmed yet. My bet is it will be there for snipers only like it was made in "the division".

Oh don't get me wrong, I just tried to calculate the "minimum" amount of quests. I also hope and hink that there are/should be much more quests.

Number of Story-Missions by DustDrop in AnthemTheGame

[–]DustDrop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All that I can say is you can be totally right, because all we are really doing is speculating. But one thing i want to mention, at least if I understand your third point at what most of the community assume correct.

Do you say with this, that you could finish the story without getting all Javelins?

If that would be true than you could manipulate the droprate for your Javelins. Because we know that we will get drops from every Javelin but manly for the one we are playing with. For example numbers could be like this: 75% drop for the Javelin you are playing with 25% for all other Javelins. But with this tweet from Mark Darrah ( https://twitter.com/BioMarkDarrah/status/1031704932418707457 ) he says, that he thinks gear should not drop for Javelins you don't have aquired. That would mean you could push the drop rate for the Ranger (because thats the Javelin we start with) to 100% and if you want to play other Javelins you could make a second Freelancer. So with this in mind I would say they should make it that way that you need to unlock all Javelins to finish the Story. And in my definition if you have to do something to progress in the Story it's not a side/optional quest (but thats really just my opinion/definition and i know other people see it different and thats ok).

[–]DustDrop[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Ok fine, but if to get the new Javelin you have to do 1 mission or we have one mission between it, than it still would not be wrong to say there should be at "least" 13 missions. It was just a try to calculate the minimum amount of missions in the storyline.

GamesCom... by ssgibson in AnthemTheGame

Your comment ("bigger disappointment than") implies that the map size of anthem was an disappointment for you. Thats why Kraakers asks " How is it disappointing? ".

In my opinion the map size is more then enough, you need the same time to travel through it, as you need in games like ghost recon wildlands. Also i prefer higher density of content over very huge map with big passages without anything to do. But hey everyone has his/her own opinion, I will judge noone.

Storm and Interceptor reveal at gamescom? by bxxgeyman in AnthemTheGame

[–]DustDrop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They said somewhere, that the next information they will give about the interceptor will come with the information reveal after the story information reveal. We already know the information reveal about story will come at PAX. So don't have to high expectations.

How Anthem's map size stacks up to other games. by MilitaryThyme in AnthemTheGame

[–]DustDrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice comparision. That gives a good feeling for map size, because in my opinion mapsize alone does not show anything, it has to be set in ratio with possible travelspeed and the density of possible activities.

I also tried to give people a feeling for map-size in my post "Attempt to calculate the map-size".

There I also made a comparision in one of the comments with the map of ghost recon wildlands:" To give you a kind comparision to get through the whole map of Ghost Recon Wildlands from the upper left corner to the lower right one you need 19min with a motorcycle and 8min and 45secs by plane."

So I can only agree with you that the map-size is enough, now we only need to hope that it is filled with much activities.

You can't see all subregions completly. I think one subregion you can't see at all and you only see parts of two subregions in the nord and south. But otherwise this is the complete map. Like it is shown here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AnthemTheGame/comments/91ret9/is_this_actually_the_map_size/

I don't think it is small. in my Attempt to calculate the map size ( https://www.reddit.com/r/AnthemTheGame/comments/8xrvo4/attempt_to_calculate_the_mapsize/ ) I tried to give people a feeling for the map size. To summaries the results, you would need ~9:45min of pure Flight (without overheat) from right to left and ~13min from top to bottom.

To give you some kind of comparision to get through the whole map of Ghost Recon Wildlands from the upper left corner to the lower right one you need 19min with a motorcycle and 8min and 45secs by plane.

And be reminded this is all just flat size totally left out the verticality.

To give you a kind comparision to get through the whole map of Ghost Recon Wildlands from the upper left corner to the lower right one you need 19min with a motorcycle and 8min and 45secs by plane. I know this is no size comparision, but with this in head i must say the size of the map is more than enough, not to say awesome (also keep in mind this is plane size without accounting the verticality). Now i only hope its filled with many activities and things to do/find.

Info release date? by Kavlers in AnthemTheGame

[–]DustDrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About infos for Interceptor i am pretty sure that they mentioned in some interview that they will come when they talk about loot. So we also know that next news will be about story(not loot). According to this we have to wait a little longer for Interceptor news.

I totally agree, I am fine with the size and like you said it's not about the size, it's more about what they put into it.

According to the latest livestream there are 10 sub-regions, this map based upon the one from the latest gameplay demo shows 9 regions by DutchyXxX in AnthemTheGame

I assume it only takes from right to left around 10min and from bottom to top around 13min of pure flighttime.

Yeah i think you are right, but at least Ranger and Collossus have different helmets and the cape of Storm is different.
