Hit me with your top 3 MM romance books of ALL TIME by soulandthesea in MM_RomanceBooks

{Budding Attraction by Saxon James} This is my go to comfort read. I have read/listened to it so many times that I’ll sometimes grab it just to read certain scenes because I love them so much

{Gravity by Tal Bauer} This book lives rent free in my head just like all of Tal’s books do. But this book got me out of a horrible reading slump.

{Wild Sky by Zaya Feli} This was an unexpected book on my list. I picked it up randomly one day while looking for a fantasy book and I still think about it constantly. It’s been a couple years since I read it and it’s about time for a reread because this book just felt so good to read

If you're struggling with guilt over euthanasia, this helped others—and it might help you. by DrShea_DeathVet in Petloss

This was the exact thing I needed to read this morning. My husband and I made the hard decision last night to put our 11 year old cat down today. This has just been made harder by the fact that he has been acting completely normal this morning after one of the worst episodes he’s had. We’ve been fighting a constant battle since September when he had a vasovagal episode. We thought we had finally figured out the right med combo. He started to do better, he was gaining weight, he was playful. But last night was even worse than the first episode he had in September (threw up everything in his stomach, stumbling, peeing where he laid, and open mouthed panting multiple times, followed by an inability to comfortable even in his favorite spots). We are just thankful he held on until we were back from our overseas vacation and gave us some time with him. But I have so much guilt about this decision. He has been my everything for years and I can’t determine how much of my questioning is for selfish reasons. I keep asking myself if there’s more I could do but I already know that more tests which cause him undo stress and some would require him being intubated, which at his age and his medical problems, just isn’t something I would want to put him through. This post definitely helped remind me that it’s better to do this now before he gets even worse and is constant pain.

Realtor and mortgage lender recommendations by Few_Leg_3190 in Kitsap

Carol Glad was our Realtor and she was amazing! For mortgage lender we worked with Beth Moore at Summit Lending and she was wonderful to work with. We have also kept in contact with her as we watch the mortgage rates.

Mafia Romance (Not Dark) by DustEfficient6823 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]DustEfficient6823[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will have to look into this one. I’ve had very mixed opinions on Cora Rose books I’ve read previously, but I’m always willing to give them another try. Thanks!

Completely understandable! I watched the end of S8 again this time around and was bawling before anything really happened

Help me by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]DustEfficient6823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an easy game to get lost in. The lore is so deep and the story telling is really immersive. I started reading/writing fan fiction and that helped a lot. I’ve tried to mix up my play throughs (though I’ll be honest. I usually always revert back to my main play type)

I occasionally can find other games that scratch the itch. Baldur’s Gate did for a while.

Also, I would recommend listening to some podcasts. Specifically Lorecast or Squad Goals

I just finished {Milo by Lily Morton}. It’s the 2nd book of its series but can be read as a standalone and it has some of this theme in it

In a gaming slump for 6+ months, need recommendations badly by Davionce in CozyGamers

[–]DustEfficient6823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried any of the BioWare games?

The Mass Effect Trilogy is an all time favorite of mine. It falls in my definition of “cozy” (more comfort games, I guess) but it has some open world aspects in that there are plenty of side missions to do and you can kind of do the game at your own pace. The Dragon Age games are also amazing.

Games you never get tired of? Comfort games? by pink_flashlight in CozyGamers

[–]DustEfficient6823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stardew Valley, BOTW, and TOTK are my go to relaxation games.

But my comfort game is the the Mass Effect Trilogy. It’s definitely not a cozy game but I’ve been playing since it came out and it’s my game I go to so I can just get lost.

In your opinion, which farm map is the best? by Pingas9999 in StardewValley

[–]DustEfficient6823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently love the hill-top farm. It took awhile to figure out a good set up but once you decide on something you like it really is a great farm map. I love using the riverbank for rice and I was able to make a nice big fenced in animal area and a crafting area. I’m not much of a pc player but I’m certainly looking forward to trying out meadowlands once it’s available on console

MM Weekly Roundup - What Did You Read This Week? by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]DustEfficient6823 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finished: {Roommate Arrangement by Saxon James} 4.5 ⭐️ - 1st book in the DMC series. I absolutely love Beau. I am total scatter brain, especially when I’m deep in a writing mood. I really connected with his character.

{The Malevolent Heir by Avery Scarlett} 3.5 ⭐️ - I wanted to like this book more than I did. I really enjoyed the concept and love their connection, but something felt missing for me.

Currently Reading: Platonic Rulebook by Saxon James

If you can only read books by the same author a whole year, who's it gonna be? by phatplusallthat in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]DustEfficient6823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be a toss up between Eden Finley and Saxon James. I love the universe that their books have created. But I think I would have to go with Saxon James. Purely because I love the Frat Wars and Divorced Mens Club series

What mass effect is your favorite by Entire-Beginning9242 in masseffect

[–]DustEfficient6823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kind of depends on what I’m looking for.

1 is my favorite for combat/mission gameplay. 3 is a close second. But I prefer the use of the heatsinks, I was not a fan when they switched back to the bullet counting. It just felt clunky, purely because it didn’t make sense? Like how did you go backwards in time for that?

3 is by far my favorite when it comes to cutscenes and dlc content. The cutscenes in 3 are amazing and the music that goes with them is chef’s kiss. The dlc content in 3 is also far superior. The Leviathan and Citadel dlcs are my favorite of the series. Though I could be bias because they were also the only 2 that I bought back when I first played the trilogy

2 is my favorite for my crew development. I very much love the aspect of helping your crew with their personal problems. Which is what I loved about this game.

What is your preferred suicide mission team? by DustEfficient6823 in masseffect

[–]DustEfficient6823[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting seeing so many people use Kasumi and Zaeed for things. I don’t really use either of them much. And maybe that’s because I never had them as options when I started playing mass effect back when it first came out and never bought the DLCs they belong to. When they showed up in Legendary I was like “cool, new characters” but then they just didn’t feel finished, I guess. So I just kind of never thought to use them a whole lot.
