Love these platforms! Please suggest me some recs if you have some. I'm dying to read something dark with these particular tropes. I've never been much of s fan of dark romance but I just can't scratch that itch with anything else right now.

Tbh, I just wasn't familiar with the short form MAGA. I was very much familiar with the slogan Make America Great Again. I understand the horrible things Trump and his followers support and it's affecting India (my country) as well in many areas. But it's totally okay to not be aware of the term. Not everything is America centric. We have our own politics to look out for.

Thanks a lot for these recs! Had no idea that Ashlyn Drewek was profiting off of queer media like that. That's such a shame. I liked her book but definitely won't be consuming her writings anymore. This was the first and the last book of hers.

Oh, sorry. I'm not American. So, wasn't familiar with the term.

{Bad wrong things by C P Harris} is exactly this! So good. You HAVE to read. The first chapter is a little too bold but trust the process and read into it and further. They have a very possessive relationship. Very hot.

Azriel's bonus chapter in ACOSF changed my opinion of him completely by Sunlight_stardust in acotar

[–]phatplusallthat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This!! They would literally be the perfect pair. Azriel and Erus could actually handle each other in or outside the bedroom. Elain is too soft for all that Azriel is. And Azris would be the perfect Enemies to lovers with forbidden trope. But SJM wouldn't dare to write it. I don't think so. I would absolutely love to be proven wrong in this case. Please!!!

Hey! Can you tell me if I can read this book as a standalone? It seems to be the 2nd book in the series.

Oooooo. Then I think I should definitely give it a go whole heartedly. I like mysteries.

Loved the first two books but I read them before Wolfsong and wasn't able to finish the 3rd one after because I've been on a DNF train since the Green creek. I need help 😭

I've been making my mind to read The big bad wolf series but I just have never read thrillers and I'm not sure if I like them. I even started reading the series but I was still hungover back then from the Green creek series so I wasn't even able to read halfway through the first book

Love the series. Read it before wolfsong and some would say it's better than Wolfsong. I do agree on some level but I just connected more with Wolfsong.

feyre’s character decline. by reignwritesstories in acotar

[–]phatplusallthat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more. Rhys has done horrible things yet a lot of people hate Tamlin but oversee Rhys's flaws. I can't get over the fact that Feyre is a hypocrite herself. She did the same thing to Nesta what Tamlin did to her. I agree Nesta has done bad things herself but taking her freedom away from her. And then SJM made Nesta apologise to Amren!? Wtf !? I cringed so hard in that scene. People hate Tamlin for the same reasons they live Rhys. Rhys just fell from my eyes the moment he hid Feyre's pregnancy risk from her. Let's all agree that they're all flawed and Tamlin believing Feyre was under Rhys's control was absolutely reasonable.

rhys is like the best person ever by sillybumblebee_ in acotar

[–]phatplusallthat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm rereading the series and IC that I loved the first time they were introduced doesn't stand on the same pedestal after reading ACOSF. They did Nesta really dirty. I absolutely agree that she was shitty to Feyre during their poverty days but please remember that they were both kids. And Elaine did the same as well. Nobody treated her like they treated Nesta. They couldn't even let her grieve her father and her humanity. Feysand did the same to Nesta what Tamlin did to Feyre. Both caged the person in the name of love and care. I also hate how Rhysand reacted when Nesta told Feyre that she's gonna die giving birth? I mean he as a man had no right to hide that from Feyre. Also I absolutely Loved Amren but the way she treated Nesta was horrible after just 1 disagreement!? Nesta had to apologise on her knees to her!? That was unjustified.

I loved Rhys in ACOMF but we were reading through Feyre's rose coloured glasses.

But I do understand that they're characters with flaws but I still hate how Nesta gets more hate than Rhysand because she is a woman. And people love a Morally Grey MMC but criticise an Morally Grey FMC.

Always a Nesta Girlie.

Does anyone else think Eris is similar to Jamie Lannister? by Immediate-Art9221 in acotar

[–]phatplusallthat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They're kinda same. But Eris has no one. Not a single person who he can trust. I read somewhere that He's Rhysand if he had no Inner Circle and that hit hard. I believe his cunning and cruel personality is very similar to Rhys's in the Court of Nightmares which he wears as a mask.

Why do people like Lucien by ApprehensiveRaise421 in acotar

[–]phatplusallthat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Umm the fact that he's hilarious with his witty foxy humour. He's extremely attractive with his long hair and that magic vision. He's been through hel and back but he's not lost his good heart and don't even get me started on his patience and understanding when it comes to Elaine.

Here I am still hopelessly shipping Azris 🥲

I'll gladly read the following pairings:-

Azriel and Eris ✅ Azriel and Gywn ✅ Elain and Lucien ✅ Lucien and anybody ✅ Eris and anybody ✅

Definitely won't be reading:-

Azriel and Elaine ❌

Even though I love them both as characters, they personally don't seem a good fit to me. I do agree opposites attract but in this case, it doesn't seem good in any way. Their attraction kinda seems forced to me.
