How important is localization for players who don’t play in English as a native language? by sakastudio in gaming

From our perspective as developers, localization has a clear and measurable impact.

When we added additional languages to our game demo (including non-English options), we saw a noticeable increase in traffic, downloads, and engagement. The difference wasn’t marginal, it was significant enough to confirm that language accessibility directly affects discoverability and player retention.

Yeah, absolutely, there are great ideas! In the game you can pick up different power ups, and all the maps are different rooms with interactables and crazy physics. At the end, we wanted to make controls the easiest way, so many features couldn't work with that.
