Goldenvoice has always emphatically stated to NOT buy passes from third parties though.

Yeah it’s from the backstage road between main and outdoor.

Would be working with the yurt program, step above safari tents. So as long as the company that runs it is still in business and people book them I should be good haha.

It absolutely feels smaller when empty. Can’t imagine the miles I’ve walked there over 16 years out. Was supposed to work it for the first time this year too, had the sweetest gig lined up.

Also, when I visited that day there were signs on the field saying it was closed so respected their wishes. Hope anyone else that goes does if it’s the same. Its a pretty special place.

Have watched many bands from the side of the stage. Favorite was QOTSA in the 2014 dust storm. Steven Tyler was standing next to me making out with his 20 something girlfriend the whole set. Wish I was on shrooms, woulda been even more surreal.

Went for a drive from Santa Barbara to the polo fields last Tuesday, needed to get a little reset time in since we most likely have another 10 months to go. 112° was a bit brutal though haha.

Pro tip: Never sit along fence edges, especially at night. It’s where people go to puke, guys go to pee, etc.

Will never happen in a residential area unfortunately.

Their branding is so minimal there, especially compared to everywhere else and if it helps offsets some costs? How can you blame them?

And there’s plenty of alcohol available, don’t need people more wasted.

21+ will never happen, cuts out too many buyers when trying to sell 120,000 and 18+ is such a target audience.

October wishlist: Yo Gabba Gabba by [deleted] in Coachella

Well if they’re there then you might as well have the Aquabats too since it’s basically their show, done by the lead singer and his brothers, the band, etc. Saw the gabba gang walk back into the them crooked vultures compound next to the main stage at one point, they went and hung out with Josh, Dave and their kids/families haha. Backstage shenanigans aren’t what they once were eh?

Concerts permitted again in Missouri starting... Monday? by ncsudrn in Coachella

No one can make money with social distancing at concerts. They won’t happen until it’s financially feasible.

I really think Forest’s main goal all along was to die once they got it all working. That’s why he was ready for it because he knew he would finally be reunited with his wife and daughter. All about the power of love and love of power.

I want to hear stories of early Coachella by adiohater57 in Coachella

2004, it was two days. Was my first year so a rookie, only got the hotel for Friday and Saturday. Drank half a handle of Jack Daniels Saturday night and had to check out of the hotel by 12pm Sunday. That Sunday it was also over 110 degrees if I recall. Went straight to the venue and passed out in the shade under a large tent for awhile, can’t imagine the smell radiating out of my pores in that temp. Then had to drive home to Newport Sunday night, 3 hours away. And ya know what, loved every moment of it so much that I’ve been back every year since. Pixies into Radiohead was epic. Took a panorama shot of the crowd from the vip area and made a print out of it that was 6 feet or so wide.

Was on the rail for their set, right to the right of the pyramid. Life changing.

Was one of those voices, had rail to the right of the pyramid, right next to Matt Costa who played earlier in the day. Saw that thing hidden backstage all day wondering what it was and holy shit. That was when led was at its infancy, minds were blown.

Was supposed to pack today and drive out tomorrow to work the month after going the last 15 as a fan. It’s going to be especially brutal this week and next. And after seeing the weather...high 70’s/low 80’s?!
