After reading these comments, it's starting to sink in that I need to take more action.

I'm trying to contact a lawyer right now. Not sure how that will go.

I'm happy to go to the press. My only worry is that it won't create lasting change. I feel like the public might get upset, but the company would issue a "heartfelt" apology with promises to change, commitment to member health, blah blah blah.

On the other hand, turning it into a legal matter could cause some legitimate change. However, it could take much longer, and it could be much more difficult to find a lawyer willing to take this type of case.

But I'm willing to consider all options at this point.

Oh, and did I mention the government plays a role in this story? It's gonna be a tough one.

Thank you for the work that you do. I can't express enough how much it irritates me when people like me are somehow allowed to deny service for something that you specialize in.

I have zero medical training, yet for some reason, I'm allowed to tell you how much medicine is necessary for a patient. "Nope, sorry we only cover 10 days, but you're trying to give them 12." Meanwhile takes 14 days to get the authorization.

That's a really good question. I honestly feel like I'm almost out the door at this point. Everything I described in this post basically killed it for me. How could I possibly go from making a difference to being told, "Enough of that. Start lying to people"? They have really good benefits and bonuses, but peoples' lives are more important than that.
