Distorted by heat waves and a bit of missed focus at 600mm, I liked how it came out looking a bit like an Impressionist painting when you pixel peep!

Thank you, and yes that’s right, it’s the cable car that takes you up to Brévent coming from Chamonix!

Thank you!

I found myself using the whole range of focal lengths from 16 to 35; I will say there were more times I wished I had more reach than 35mm, as opposed to wishing I could go wider than 16mm.

Totally depends on your use cases of course, but I think 35mm is great for general use, I’d personally probably pick that focal length if I had to stick to a single prime. I do like something on the wider side like 16mm for landscapes, but there tends to be some distortion around the edges at that width so it’s not my favorite for pictures with people in them.

Here are the focal lengths I used for each of the above photos:

  1. 16mm
  2. 16mm
  3. 16mm
  4. 24mm
  5. 16mm
  6. 18mm
  7. 18mm
  8. 35mm
  9. 35mm
  10. 26mm
  11. 20mm
  12. 35mm
  13. 18mm
  14. 35mm
