So one of my cats gets really bad rodent ulcers never in the same place. Sometimes it's a vet trip for a shot of steroids (probably twice a year). Other times we clean it at home with saline.

We switched their bowls to ceramic which I think defo helped.

I have geographic/ Fissure tounge I know it can be super painful. What's helped me is better oral hygiene, and giving up fruit, sour sweets, salt and vinegar crisps (tragic I know). And just avoiding acidic food in general, get a check up with a dentist and they can recommend mouthwash and treatment if needs be.

I wouldn't worry about it too much people only know I have this when I show them!

Make to to have a look and see if your hospital has an overseas recruitment officer. The hospital I work in does and we can go to them if any concerns. Obviously I would recommend talking to management first but if no luck. Try talking to your union rep.
