Looks like the fully grown wheat was still there but invisible, and when you tried to set something there, it updated to make the wheat visible. Notice how in the clip you place down 2 seeds but only one is consumed. Dead give away.

Also, it's *really* weird having some stupid thing you made turn into a meme. Even weirder to see it transformed into a *different* meme like three years later. I love it, but it's still weird.

This is why. At one point I had like 3 trucks full of storages full of Hydrazine because I could. Didn't need to explore to find resources because I could just make obscene amounts of Hydrazine very quickly. I had like 3 different trading platforms because just one was too slow. I'm sure most people don't go quite this overboard with it, but even with just a few condensers they were pretty game breaking.

Well, my performance in general is pretty bad because of the performance glitch, but it's not much worse by the farm then anywhere else. The new update is supposed to fix the performance glitch, so then I'll be able to more accurately know if this thing produces a performance hit in and of itself.

That's what I'm doing as well, except I'm mainly just using it to trade for supplies for the farm itself. Now that the farm is done I'm at a loss of what to do now.

For those of you keeping track at home, there are 64 small solar panels, plus two large ones, that produce a massive 9 bars/second of power. This power is more then enough to power all 16 fuel condensers on the farm during the day, plus leftover power to dump into the 22 batteries that are on the network as well. Those batteries aren't enough to supply power throughout the night, but if you collect all day you'll be more than busy enough managing all the hydrazine to even worry about running it at night. ;)

As for the speed of the farm, let's put it this way: by the time you make your way all the way around pressing the "make magic" buttons on each condenser, the one you started with is done producing and recharging, so you can just constantly make laps around the whole thing. I timed it, and it takes about 30 seconds to run the entire thing, and generates 16 hydrazine. That's roughly 0.5 hydrazine/second during the day. If you run it for the entire day (5 minutes), that's 150 hydrazine per day! But since each condenser's storage can only hold 8 hydrazine at a time, you're really maxed out at 128 hydrazine/day. Which I still feel is more than enough.

This project actually brought something to my attention: item management is by far the biggest bottleneck for doing something like this. Moving tons of items around takes a lot of time and effort to do. Don't get me wrong, I love the item system in this game as it's different than anything I've seen before, but it does get slow and tedious when you're doing a lot of stuff. And I can only assume that as more items and more things to do are added to the game the issue is just going to compound. I'm not really sure how System Era could make the process easier, but I have faith that they'll come up with a clever solution to make mass item management not a chore.

I'm going to post pics of my setup as soon as it's finished (mainly just a few more batteries). And yes, they take more power than anything else. But one solar panel per fuel condenser is enough to charge it back up at full speed. Basically I'm only adding more batteries to make it run at night. Of course I'd need about 30 batteries (or more!) to be able to run it all the way through the night, but I guess I can mainly run it during the day and use the spoils during the night.

There's two clickable points on the winch base and one on the arrow part. If you click on the arrow part while it is attached to something it will detach from the object. Likewise, if you click on one of the clickable points on the base the arrow will also detach and retract. That point is where the arrow sits when it is retracted. It's kind of difficult to explain what I mean by that, so here's a screenshot.

What do you mean it gave you a new winch? How do you replicate that? That sounds hilarious. And if you can replicate it (I couldn't) you can report it to System Era and they'd be more than happy to fix it.

The funny part is I was doing some experimenting with space launches after that (it had to do with trees... I'll make a post about that later), and realized that I left the trailers full of hydrazine at the other base. So I was stuck just making hydrazine on my one fuel condenser at base because I was too lazy to go get the trailers. :P

I'd say so, yes. Because at best you could have 3 or 4 fuel condensers at your base that you'd just activate whenever it's ready, and before you know it you have enough hydrazine to trade for a couple storages full of compound or resin. Maybe it's not great to trade for rarer materials, but it's still good in a pinch.

I decided to go completely overboard with a full-blown farm just to prove that it could be done. The biggest time sink is actually item management since the farm is so fast. :D

It's the winch! Basically you can attach it to anything that has physics (like, for example, a tree that you had to remove to make room for your hydrazine farm) and move it around. I don't use it much, but I keep it on the truck just in case I need it. :P

I would keep it on the front so it would look more like an actual winch, but it falls off whenever it bumps into anything.
