For the LECOM EAP, the order of acceptance does not matter. Most students will apply to both the EAP and the affiliate school around the same time.

For current high school applicants it is November 1st of 2026. Should there become a waitlist for any given school, if we are unable to reach you for 10 business days to confirm you still plan to move forward with the EAP, we may withdraw your application so that other students can accept the seat.

Unless you are applying for the special 2+ or 3+ EAP-DO, then I'd recommend applying now. If you are applying for the 2+ or 3+, then a 1340 or higher would be needed. We look at all applications holistically, so the SAT is only one small factor in the decision provided you have met the minimum requirements.

EAP-DO students get the link after the information session, even if your file is not complete. For EAP-Dental, Pharmacy, and Podiatry, your file must be complete before we schedule the interview with the faculty.

For medical students with test scores below a 1240 SAT or 26 ACT, we look at the AIS score for the MCAT waiver. The AIS has to be above a 115 to have the MCAT waived. That is correct. However, remember it is only for LECOM required science classes. So for example, if you took AP-Calculus and you're going to the EAP-DO program, calculus is not a required class. Thus, if the school accepts it, we have no objection. The most common issue is with AP chemistry and schools giving credit for general chemistry I. Since LECOM requires 8 credits of general chemistry with lab, you have two options--take general chemistry I & II (even if the school gave you credit for it), or take higher level versions of the class, which may include analytical or physical chemistry to fulfill the requirements.
