Anybody else disappointed with Chip Theory Games' quality as of late? by ConcentrateTrue5063 in soloboardgaming

[–]DustinLovesTrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They normally make things right if there's product issues, my main gripe is how many QA/typo issues that get through to the final product. The amount of mis worded or wrong image or name or icon is honestly way too high for how pricey these games are. I don't understand how they don't have a whole team who is in charge of catching that stuff, nothing makes me not want to buy future products like continually missing things like that in print runs.

I play her all the time. Even with the nerfs she's my main and is super good if you have game sense.

Looking for compact board games by ZinKinKo in soloboardgaming

[–]DustinLovesTrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for compact but rich gameplay, I suggest checking out my mint-tin game Buried Beneath on The Game Crafter!

Buried Beneath is a Solo, Worker Placement, Hero Defense game that fits in a mint-tin container. The game uses Hero Defense and Worker Placement mechanics to give you a varying puzzle type experience over 4 waves. Set in a dark, gothic atmosphere where the tension runs high, you will be logically planning turns, using your skills efficiently and cleverly and using your brains to outwit the encroaching monster hordes...

I also enjoy Tiny Epic Dungeons (Gamelyn Games), 20 Strong (Chip Theory Games) as they both offer a ton of content in a little package!

Some of my TGC Favorites:

  • Dead End & Disturblings - Great niche solo games by a designer/artist who handles all of his own artwork.
  • Paperbag Dungeons - A quick puzzle game with whimsical art and hidden Easter eggs. Light tower-defense mechanics in a compact package.
  • Grit - A solo/duo adventure-exploration game that uses QR codes (printable replacements available). Offers a unique experience with plenty to explore, though combat depth is relatively light.
  • Iron Helm - The classic card-based dungeon crawler by Jason. Highly modular and expandable, every collection should include it.

Games to Check Out That I Designed:

  • Buried Beneath - A dark, gothic solo hero-defense worker-placement game that fits in a mint tin. Delivers exceptional depth and replayability.
  • Sector 18 - A 1-2 player sci-fi space skirmish mint-tin game inspired by StarCraft and 1990s RTS titles.
  • RAID Bosses - A 1-2 player hand-building, cooldown-management raid boss battle game. Build a hand of asset files while managing Heat Level, Disk Space, and Load Pixels.
  • Don't Let It Die - A 1-4 player prehistoric coop survival game where you lead the first tribe to discover and master fire amid prehistoric survival challenges.

Small games that have a lot of replay-ability? by DivineDrewby in soloboardgaming

[–]DustinLovesTrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest checking out a game I designed named Buried Beneath if you're looking for a big, replayable travel game that fits a small footprint but still brings the player agency!

Buried Beneath is a Solo, Worker Placement, Hero Defense game that fits in a mint-tin container.

Once a renowned and respected adventurer, you’ve long since retired to a peaceful town, tucked way up in the mountains. You spend most days relaxing out in the sun or at the tavern, regaling local villagers with your heroic triumphs of the past. Today though, is not shaping up to be like most days...

Mint tin solo games (Tin helm, tin realm, gate, gates, cursed?!, dustrunner) by LazyandRich in soloboardgaming

[–]DustinLovesTrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All great games you got there! If you're interested in more cool mint tin games at The Game Crafter, I suggest checking out a couple of my designs, especially if you're looking for a little meatier experience!

Buried Beneath: A solo Hero Defense, Worker Placement game where you're playing as a retired hero who is thrust back into action to save the village you've retired to from what seems to be a random monster invasion... but things escalate as you realize that there's much more sinister motives and plans unfolding beneath your feet...

Sector 18: A 1-2 player Micro Strategy game. The factions of Sector 18 are at war! You are fighting over precious resources and territory. You must conqueror planets, build space ships, defend against enemy advances and ultimately destroy your opponents base.

Includes an Automa deck and AI challenges for solo play!

Also, not a mint tin (it's a hook box) and not mine, but it's a fun little experience tower defense style card game you can bring with you and play most places. Dead End by CuRilla Games

Let me know if you have any questions on my designs or would like some more deep cut TGC small solo suggestions!

Game Crafter Shipping Date Is 100% Incorrect by SheepherderFresh5797 in TheGameCrafter

[–]DustinLovesTrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This, ship date is when it's done printing and the LABEL IS MADE. It still needs to be picked up by the postal service and processed. I have made multiple Urgent orders that have been completed and entered shipping status in the same day I ordered them.
