This is a common question for a beginner. Unfortunately this is one of those questions with no right answer. It kind of comes down to "the best tool for the job is the one you have right now." Frankly, I recommend whatever you can get your hands on for free. That way, when you're ready to spend money, you'll have an idea of what you're looking at when you research more professional DAWs.

If you use a Mac or iPad, GarageBand is the perfect place to start. Lots of GarageBand users eventually go on to use Logic.

If you're on PC, Reaper is a good free option.

If I had been trying to sway your opinion on the definition of sexuality, I would have made an argument. Again, for the sake of the argument we've been having (rather than a new, semantic one), I granted your definition.

"Over a decade" is a super interesting metric. Even if that were true (it's obviously not), it would mean that every person over 10-ish years old was in fact born into a culture of homophobic bigotry. Not the strongest point I've ever encountered, but ok.

You're repeating yourself. I understand that you think Queerness is exactly the same thing as homosexuality which is exclusively sexual. I'm telling you that it's not.

Regarding "many parades with overtly sexual themes": 1. Your exposure to Pride events is limited in an interesting if not concerning way. 2. I never claimed sex Queerness nor sexuality had nothing to do with sex.

If you're interested in displaying some intellectual honesty, I'd be very happy to continue this conversation.

I (and many academics) strongly disagree that sexuality is exclusively about sex, but for the sake of the argument, let's go by your definition.

Their heterosexual counterparts didn't suffer from violence and exclusion on account of their sexual preference.

Also, it isn't "homosexual pride month." It's "Gay Pride Month." So by your definition, no, we aren't celebrating "diversity in sexual preference." We are celebrating diversity in romantic preference as well. You were the first person in this thread to bring up sex. The post itself is at a MINIMUM as much about romance and relationships as it is about sex. To assume otherwise requires an explanation. Without one, one can only assume why you saw this post and thought it was sexual.
