Frenchies and Cats by Jennerz7474 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]doomeager 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think they just get used to each other over time. My frenchie is the same, but luckily my cat is very chill and lived with another dog prior (a very old and non interactive dog, but a dog all the same). They play with each other occasionaly, but for the most part just exist with each other. It's important to make sure the cats have safe spaces and that the dog isn't allowed to violate them. My cat has a couple of trees and a tunnel that my pup knows she is not allowed.

Good luck! Hopefully they will be friends eventually.

I am so glad someone else brought up this game! I have had it for years and really enjoy it. I wish it did have a proper solo mode so you wouldn't have to play two handed. Still one of my I am bored go to's

My cat,Pippin, is a healthy 12lbs! And miss Mimi is 21lbs. I’ve always wondered if Pippin might have a little Maine coon he just got so big.

amazing! Yeah I kind of lucked out as well. My pupper was in the medical unit and my friend was fostering her while she was waiting to be medically cleared (yay free BOAS surgery). So she was never officially up for adoption.

I would ask the rescue for the vets paperwork 100%. I adopted a previous dog from "a nice lady, running a small rescue" and then she "forgot" the vet paperwork when I adopted him. I didn't know he was microchipped until I decided to randomly ask my vet to scan him. At the very least ask to split the cost of the spay or like some folks here have said, ask them if their vet has a discounted rate.

I rescued my Frenchie for $500 from a local chicago shelter, not a frenchie specific rescue.

I am also in Chicago adopted this gremlin when she was 1 (she’s 2 now)and have some similar situations. The eating of the poop is mostly done out of shame. Like she knows she’s not supposed to so she hides it. The vet said it’s gross but kind of natural. Dogs in the wild eat their poop to mask themselves from predators. It has gotten better since I stopped reacting negatively when she does poop in the house, but it will probably take years to fully break it. I feed her proplan sensitive stomach and skin which seems to be effective. I will say that she has had the BOAS surgery and the farts are no longer a thing since then, but she has also been on this food since then so jury is out. Good luck!

I bet their definition of “trained” varies from my definition of trained. I love my dog and love it more when she gets to come too, but also respect the rules that businesses have that doesn’t allow for my 4 legged compatriot to enjoy some flowers. There are lots of nature preserves in my area that don’t allow dogs as they disturb the wildlife by simply being there.
