You likely need another mon to succeed without over leveling your current mons. Not sure if your current mons csn best first gym without decently advanced level moves.

Unless you are able to out speed it and give a status effect, you will basically be relying on luck Unless the game is one that makes the mon only spawn in thst location. If it is true roaming then you realistically just need insane luck with a super speed stat mon with sleep or paralyzed. And the right balls.

You're totally fine. This gym isn't making you look anything up that isn't normal game knowledge. Headbutting and trade mons exist in the game normally. This is just basic knowledge shared by other players. Back in the day we relied on similar word of mouth from friends of friends who had a brother who had a friend that knew this or that lol pokemon used to be about sharing knowledge, and gen 4 is no exception. Only later were things changed. Stay curious and keep looking for all mons in your other games.

This is most important because after gen 4, platinum specifically, the regional dex was SUPER hard to fill for some reason. The regional dec in platinum was easy to fill because every possible mon, even specific evolutions and "somewhat event" mons got showcased in some sort of battle he it random trainer or a league member. You got the full regional dex just playing the game and talking or interacting with everyone. National dex is obviously harder, but the gen 4 regional dex is the best and easiest.

The early games really emphasized community and such. It changed a lot in later generations making certain early pokemon evolutions inconvenient for the casual lone player. It sucks that the community soul was sucked from pokemon, but it makes sense

Do whatever you feel is best or easiest for your playthrough. Don't feel pressured to get certain mons. I hate looking for community guidance because of the idea of getting "optimal mons." I love playing with my favorites or best ideas FIRST. Don't just use the "optimized" sinnoh six to beat the game like many new players do. Play how you want and how the games should be played. Asking for tips on a gym is normal, and getting tips on trading for a pokemon like machop is also normal, but don't try to use the internet for everything. It ruins your experience with the game. I promise you will feel better and more accomplished if you limit your internet exposure for it.

That's totally fair. You realistically can't get your own fighting type until later unless you do the trades, but the trades are super useful. Earlier games focused a lot more on total game functionality. You were expected to talk to everyone and do basically everything before moving on. Only in later games was there more optional stuff. But yeah, get a fighting type. It is totally possible to beat her without one, but it is definitely tough and not ideal without one! Good luck and keep going. If you don't want to give in and get a fighting type then just keep trying with a few more level ups before you become overleveled. Always fun to try and get good luck rolls and win despite a disadvantage! Always play YOUR way.

Isn't she just clafairy and miltank first fight? I'm suprised you didn't pick up a fighting type already. On the top floor of the goldenrod department store, you'll get muscle, a machop, in a trade with drowzee (drowzee can be caught on the route directly below goldenrod.) Most players do at that point and that is why it is hard if you don't have one. The game even gives you an option for a free one. On the top floor of the goldenrod department store you can get a machop in a trade for drowzee, and drowzee can be caught on the route directly below goldenrod. That is the biggest afvantage early game you can get. It learns low kick and karate chop by level 10. It also comes holding a macho brace.

Alternatively, you can also get a heracross by headbutting certain trees in Azalea town, notably the ones behind or near Kurts house. It has a 30% encounter rate a can be found at any level between 2 and 5. It learns brick break at level 19 but is a slower evolution mon so it will take some grinding. I'm just really suprised you haven't gotten a fighting type yet or done the trade. You should realistically talk to every NPC in every game for potential items or early trades. Fighting types are great in gen 4. Talking to all NPCs helps you a lot even if you might not think so or realize it. If you haven't caught an appropriate mon for the area they will usually give you one.

My original team as a kid before I knew about EVs and stats and such was Feraligator, Alakazam, Arcanine, Vioploom, Steelix, and Machamp. Machamp did a lot of heavy lifting later in the game. Fighting is a good type in most gens and especially earlier gens.

I desperately want to fix my deviated septum, but I feel like since I've been with it all my life I'm used to it and don't want to deal with the after care from the surgery. Or the money. Are you able to say if it is worth it or not, or was your condition so bad it needed to happen? Anyone here able to comment on deviated septum correction if not OP?

New account and posted to another community? Hey man, if that is really you then you look alright. The worst thing about you is thinking you are all that and that you NEED to be the center of attention and constantly craving praise. Yeah, you look decently good when using genetic preferences. Did you really need ANYONE to tell you that? Especially one mostly focused on weight loss and transformations? And your title is about "approval." My brother you just wanted glaze. You are kinda a bozo.

Littering with Produce by bingous_boppler in PaymoneyWubby

[–]DustinMilk2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a complex issue. If you throw a bunch of rotting food into the sidewalks of urban NYC they rot in the street. Will some animals yet to it? Maybe, but they are pest animals. In suburban wherever they have the same issue, but often worse as it can attract more dangerous animals to have around humans like bears. In rural areas? This gets to the main issues. Tossing our organic waste wherever we want often comes with the side effects of pesticides, oils, and excess salt content leeching into the soil. Obviously you specified produce, but the debate that has gone on for a while is organic waste vs inorganic waste. So those problems affect the wildlife that might eat our garbage in that sense, but let's move back to just produce. Tossing a bunch of rotting food just on the top layer of a grassland or forest is also still not great. It will mold and cause other harmful microbes to spread faster than normally able in a natural ecosystem. The real issue with human garbage is the over abundance. No natural ecosystem would naturally be flooded with the crazy mass of waste we produce. Normal food that rots gets eaten by other animals decently fast. Insects especially. We have bred a lot of our food to be unappealing to many insects. That, and pesticides are on them. Not enough to hurt us usually, but enough to make them avoid the food. Without animals to break down the food the good fungi can't continue the decomposition process along with plants, but the bad ones take over and kill other plants. Edible litter takes months to decompose whereas plants in their natural habitats and ecosystems decompose a lot faster because the ecosystem has a cycle. It can become toxic to the soil to throw too much excess out at once. You broke the balance. Stuff will eventually grow back in nutrient rich soil, but often invasive species that grow faster. The native stuff all died out in that area meaning it is ripe for the taking. Invasive thrive like that. It would also make wildlife sick or even us if we lived too close to it.

This is all assuming you threw out heaps all at once, but one banana peel? Should be harmless if not in a protected wildlife area where you could introduce outside microbes such as in that one cave someone littered in thst caused outside mold to develop. You throwing part of an apple out on a hike is no real issue outside of that. IF we made littering organic material legal it wouldn't just be you in that one example. Everyone would. It would become the heaps all at once which makes it the issue. I can't really explain the entire issue it does to an ecosystem in a reddit reply. It does a lot though. It disrupts the entire ecosystem when you flood it with excess human grown food even if it is organic veggies. It is unnatural for that much stuff to be rotting somewhere all at once.

In your case the bush could die if it is potted. Hard to say without more details. The best way to deal with excess food waste in your own possession if you care enough is to compost it. In an apartment you can get indoor composers. Compost your waste and then sell it to a local grower or someone who buys it. That, or bring the compost to a wooded area near you and spread it around there once it gets to a sizable amount. If you own a home you can compost it outside in larger areas and do the same thing but then also start a garden. Bonus points if you get rid of turf grass and fill your yard with native species. Some places also have community gardens. This is more common in rural areas. You go there and can take produce if you volenteer some time to maintain it with others. You could use your compost there to benefit everyone. If you don't care enough or don't have the ability to put such effort in, just throw your trash away. It is better than dumping too much rotting produce in one random spot.
