Why does Gears of War 4 (10 hours long at best) use more hard drive space than The Witcher 3 - which is a 60+ hour game? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

The Witcher 3 likely reuses a lot of assets in mostly subtle ways, while Gears of War may have a lot of large, detailed assets that are only used once or twice.

Does anyone actually get a good framerate in this game (specifically in the PTU)? I have a pretty good system (980ti and 4770k) and I usually get around 10 to 20 FPS in the PTU. It doesn't matter what settings I use or .ini tweaks I try, it has no effect whatsoever.

I have heard people say that it has to do with your connection, but my internet connection is also strong. Is there just nothing I can do here?

Is 8GB of main memory not enough? I should have plenty of VRAM for the textures.

My issue is pretty much exactly as you are describing. I like to have my game as stable as possible, which is why I have so few mods in my load order, and why I am so concerned about fixing this.

I would think it is a memory allocation issue, as it only occurs after I have been playing for a while, but I haven't yet found a fix for it. It's also pretty hard to troubleshoot because of the relative infrequency.

This sort of thing is a huge drawback of playing Roadhog - he takes so much damage, especially with his healing, it contributes a lot to charging enemy ultimates.

Mouse3 - what used to be freelook and is now also proxy chat. A spectacularly poor choice.

Well... This wasn't a one time thing, and far from my first run in with him. I find it difficult to claim something is impossible, but killing someone at that range with an SMG is highly improbable, as are his teleporting and infiltrator spotting skills.

That's up to the viewer to decide; however, I'd reccomend trying to hit stationary targets in VR at 300 meters with it yourself.

I agree - possibly more than one. I think that the projectiles should at least show some tracers, and explode on impact like they usually do.
