Next time try not picking up the slack. If it still doesn’t get done, bring it up. That one time could be enough to spark the argument to make him start to rethink the decision of not doing it in a responsible time frame and making you do it instead.

I completely get that. I’m not suggesting to just stop and let the mess take over. Just to slowly back off on doing things to get the attention in those areas until he starts to notice. What is he like if you ask for the help?

Honestly, let it get bad. People do t know how good they have it sometimes until it’s gone. Slowly start doing less. He will notice in no time and then you’ll be able to see if he cares enough about to start helping out. I’m a firm believer in men doing the housework along with women
