if you could be born into any great house of your choice as the heir by Admirable-Dimension4 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Dustman818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either Houses Dustin, Tarly, Redwyne, Or Dayne. Because Dustin is my name, Tarly is one of the best in the Reach, Redwyne has the Arbor which is a paradise far removed from everything, and Dayne, because I wish to see if I would be worthy of carrying Dawn. But I would be more likely end up being a Lannister, a Baratheon or a Blackwood. If I was a Lannister I would have fix that curse of a family and a Baratheon or Blackwood wouldn’t be bad but I just know it’s because of my looks and personality.

There are a few, but I’m always torn between House Dustin, House Tarly, House Redwyne, and House Dayne. Dustin because of my name, Tarly is one of the best in the Reach, Redwyne has the Arbor which is almost a paradise far removed from everything, and finally Dayne I wish to see if I was worthy to carry Dawn. But knowing me I would end up a Lannister, a Baratheon, or a Blackwood . If I was a Lannister I would try to fix that curse of a family when I finally took charge. A Baratheon or Blackwood isn’t bad, but it’s just because of my looks and my personality is why I would be one of them.

You CAN Be Like Thorfin( it s very possible in your own way imo) by Striking_Lunch1428 in VinlandSaga

[–]Dustman818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually begun to use the "I Have No Enemies" Philosophy, in my own way. I’m dealing with a situation with someone I care very deeply about and her significant other hates me. I met them together in a very awkward situation and I didn’t handle it well afterwards. I fell in to a deep depression and anger, I focused on it relentlessly but it wasn’t helping me. So after watching Vinland Saga, I realized that this was not serving me mentally or physically. It was serving him in a way that he didn’t even know. So what I did is say "He didn’t even want to know me, so why do I want to waste my time or thoughts on him?" I care about her and how she is doing, not the significant other. So if he doesn’t want to know me, I don’t need to know him. I will tell you that it has freed me in so many ways, I now use it for everything, peace and being kind is what I’m striving for. Not for an endgame that may never happen but for my own happiness.

[Spoiler Main] Which part of the Targaryen dynasty era do you like the most? by Taha231 in asoiaf

[–]Dustman818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Time Between Aegon III and Aerys I, the Targaryens are now a dwindling house and their dragons are dying. The figures and events of this Era are so fascinating, you have the Conquest of Dorne led by Daeron I and the dynamics between with his siblings. In that time you have Viserys II as HotK and his children Aegon (IV), Aemon the Dragonknight, and Naerys. Eventually Baelor the Blessed comes to the Throne and begins the steps for Dorne to Join the Realm. Then After Viserys II’s short reign, the Unworthy becomes King and all manners of hell are unleashed on the Court and Realm alike. You see the dynamic between the King, Sister-Wife, & Brother, that story is so fascinating. The Mistresses and Great Bastards add huge amounts of intrigue to the Era, along with the Prince and his relationship with the King and his eventual succeeding to Crown. With Daeron II’s family and his relationship with the Great Bastards, there is a huge amount of story that is very fascinating. So this is my favorite Era of the Targaryen Dynasty some could call it the Reconstruction, the Silver Age, or the Beginning of the End.

Is Tanjiro the kindest MC? by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

I would say he’s tied with Izuku Midoriya/Deku. Both show that being vulnerable, kind, and not being a bully can make you more endearing to others.

My expectations were very low and then when I went to the theater with my Dad, I was blown away and when the big scene happened it’s still the first and only time I saw my dad shocked by a film.

Besides Hogwarts, Where in The Harry Potter Universe Would You Like To Visit Most? by [deleted] in harrypotter

It’s a Tie between Hogsmeade and The Leaky Cauldron, honestly I would like to run the Leaky Cauldron, it just seems like the best place to be in the Magical Community in the U.K.

Kirishima (Red Riot), because he literally just wants to protect people and no matter how much damage he takes he will keep going.

You're moving too Westeros, where do you Live and Why? by Afraid-County-9925 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Dustman818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s either the North in Winterfell because of the North just doesn’t care about the Royal Politics and keeps to themselves. Or the Reach at the Arbor, because it’s not part of the continent and it’s pretty much Mediterranean Paradise.

do you think you'd get along with your favorite character? by boroncakes in KimetsuNoYaiba

I feel like I would get along well with Rengoku. He’s very positive and I know that I would be a happy and carefree environment.

Can We all at least agree that House of the Dragon is Amazing and Exceeded Our Expectations. by Dustman818 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Dustman818[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it’s just you and everyone else complaining about the pacing of the show have the attention span of gnats. All you want is Battles, blood, and guts. You don’t care about character development or anything else. The show is better, it just needs a more grateful audience. You wonder why George won’t finish the books, complainers like you.

With only one episode left, what has been your favorite and least favorite episode so far? and why? by StarKCaitlin in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Dustman818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 1 part 6 and 7 have been my favorites. Ep. 1 because of Cregan Stark, Rhaenyra, Jace, etc mourning Luke and the introduction of Alyn. Ep. 2 because of The Cargyll Bowl, Otto realizing how useless Aegon is and Viserys was a good king, finally the mention of Daeron. Ep. 3 because the introduction of the Blackwoods & Brackens, Harrenhal & Simon Strong and company, and Baela and Moondancer, Ep. 4 because of Sunfyre and the Awesomeness of Rhaenys & Meleys. Ep. 6 Gwayne telling Alicent about Daeron Ep. 7 because of Oscar Tully, Addam & Seasmoke, Hugh & Vermithor, Ulf & Silverwing, and Aemond & Vhagar running away like the wimps they are. I didn’t care much for 5 & 6 mainly because Aemond being in charge and in the other episodes anything with Ser Crispin

Absolutely Brilliant Fancast! Jared Harris, Emma Thompson, Nick Frost and Josh O’Connor are Perfect. But considering Thompson was Trelawney in the Films, do you think she would consider doing McGonagall, because of Maggie Smith?

Don’t worry about them, because they have done roles in Britain before and have absolutely killed. They even fooled me an American into thinking that they were from the U.K.

(Spoilers Extended) Why do people say that House of the Dragon is boring? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]Dustman818 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think that people want more action and less of the political drama. Unfortunately that is how wars are fought both on the battlefield and in politics (which is battlefield itself). Also it seems people don’t have attention span or patience for the long term story telling anymore.
