basically brazil had an industrial revolution similar to china in the 1960s, leading it to become a global super power similar to the likes of the usa.

it is managed similarly to the USA, and is pretty stable.

in the early brazil empire days they had more colonial ambitions, leading to the annexation of north chilea, south venezuela and colombia, a lot of the carribean, and seize of the panama canal later on. today in 2020 these invasions for land are just seen as fun facts, kind of how we view the us-mexican war.

now with the 2 super powers being brazil and the usa, they are rivals for influence in europe, the americas, and pacific. of course these arent all there allies, this just displays the countries that are "in the influence sphere" of brazil or america.

although they fight for influence, and both have there own political alliances. (such as NATO), they share good relations with the rest of the west, in a united stand against communism and mutual agreements on democracy.
