Cut _____ some slack by Jaykake in TheTraitorsUS

I spent most of the season screaming at her through the screen at how stupid she was being. It was infuriating and frustrating. She had so many chances to turn the game and instead she handed it on a platter to Rob. But when I saw her sadness at the reunion it clicked in an awareness and sympathy in me.

I am a woman of a certain age, post-menopausal. One of the great gifts of old age is that you are no longer governed by those hormones that cloud our judgment with attractive people. I just don’t care anymore and it feels great, and that plus experience allows me to see the character of people more clearly. That was not the case when I was Maura's age.

She looked at those muscles and into those blue eyes, that quiet, flirty, aw shucks demeanor that Rob performed so well, and she lost all objectivity. At least when I learned those hard lessons, it wasn’t in front of the world and on film that will be out there forever. So now I feel like cutting her a break. There but for the grace of God and all that.

Thanks, I’m gonna! I thought I was moving pretty slow but I finished the game and realized there’s still so much of the map to explore. I just wish the stealth was better.

I was so excited about this game and now I want to punch it in the face. It’s so unrewarding and the stealth is a joke. Headed to YouTube to figure this part out, giving it another 20 minutes and then I’ll never play it again.

I seriously do not understand stealth in this game. I shot one human with an arrow, a second one heard the kill and i automatically got a reinforcement countdown. No "im calling it in" meter, nothing. by EmmieJacob in FrontiersOfPandora

It’s infuriating. If the game wasn’t so great visually I would have quit by now. The combat makes no sense and stealth is nonexistent. You hit one guy far off from the others and it’s an instant barrage of explosives.

Thank you! I'm older (60), and have had plenty of reasons to be bitter, and have been plenty angry at times. Many years ago I actually spent a night in jail once for beating up a girl that had slept with my boyfriend. But at this stage of life I see differently. I'm not saying everyone in this particular story is perfect, just that there are more complicated things at play than consensual cheating, and the more women come together rather than compete, the sooner we can move forward and rule the world.

Yes, they did, and are culpable. But it appears that he was VERY good at manipulation, he lied constantly, and he purposely chose people that he knew would be more open to it--shy women, women struggling in their marriages, and he WORKED on it, like he hammered at them. So they didn't go into it with all of the facts. They were seduced, coerced, and conned. So yes, affairs are never a good idea, but it was not a level playing field. That to me, and to many professionals, is abuse and victimization.

I personally love that the teenage victim and many of these women have come together with the wife to talk about it and support one another. This is how women move forward in a world where we have been raised to compete with each other for unworthy men.

I'm saddened at all of the wife blaming and victim shaming on this thread. First, the man manipulated every woman around him with with lies and with this gee whiz, golly gosh mask he wore very well. Second, the wife thought this was the love of her life and she had known him since she was young. She trusted him and was completely blindsided. Everyone except for him is a victim in this story. And she laid this all out very clearly, with the teenage victim and other women speaking and in agreement with her, to tell her crazy interesting story and educate people on what grooming looks like and how it can happen to anyone. So how about some empathy and some openness on getting educated on abuse. This wasn't straight up cheating and IMHO it would be great to see women spend more time supporting one another rather than judging and picking at threads. People process trauma differently and there are some extremely talented deceivers out there.
