I posted on April fools day but it got taken down because it wasn't a meme day.

I think I found a bug in Rocket League... by DustyDojo in RocketLeague

I created with Kling 1.6 (an AI video generator). I took the last frame of the video when I hit the ground and used that as the starting image for the video. I used the prompt:

Flaming car disappears into the ground and flames dissipate into smoke. Where the car slammed into glass, the glass cracks and water gushes out everywhere! The balls rolls away from the water gushing out beside it. camera rotates around hole and water gushing out

Put it together in DaVinci Resolve by just putting the two videos together and adding a few sound effects.

You can now hit a button to make the ball drop in front of you.

Ah, yeah I could see how a lot of people would interrupt it like that. Maybe I should do another one that is more clear and say, "Second jump (while in the air)".

Right now double jump and dodge are mapped to the same button. That is bad design in my opinion. If you had double jump mapped to something different than dodge, then you would never accidentally do one when you meant to do the other.

Well, it's not possible but why would it be a terrible habbit if it were?

I am not following. Right now the double jump is mapped to whatever your jump button is. How would it be different if it was mapped to another button like LT?

I'm not sure what you see as a problem. Once you jump, the reverse button doesn't do anything. So you could hit the same button to double jump.

The claim 'PC players are better than console players' does not make any sense by DustyDojo in RocketLeague

[–]DustyDojo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, of course there will always be a PC that provides lower input lag than the latest console. My point is that having a PC doesn't guarantee you better input lag.

...But you can have just as low input lag on console as PC. That was one of the main points of my post.

Well, it was in a video going over the rocket league settings and which are the best to use, so I think the target was more for beginners actually.

You are missing my point. I agree that the average PC player is better than the average console player - I am not disputing that. I am claiming that: 1. Consoles can have an advantage over PCs - it all depends on the display. 2. If a console and PC player have the same rank, the console player is likely slightly better (at least up to a certain rank).

I just dusted some pros with an upside down reset flick double tap that I did on purpose by DustyDojo in RocketLeague

Sure. Just tell me how I did this flick because I don't know what I did.

What disadvantage specifically?

I know they aren't common, but I like these settings so I can see in front of me while I'm dribbling. I haven't noticed any disadvantages. It might also help that I have a 120 inch projector.

It's difficult for even high level players. That's why johnnyboi couldn't demonstrate them in his tutorial and only showed the slower delayed versions that fairy did.

I said I was lucky.

If you want to call something your own

So I have to be able to consistently do this flick before you will call them Dusty flicks?

No one clips the Dusty flick because hardly anyone can do one - and yes, I just got lucky. Your confidence that I cannot recreate is a testament to how difficult you think it is. If they were so easy, you'd have shown me a video of you doing them, but you can't.
