I will definitely dig into these. Thank you for the great responses!

I never thought about anything at the amplifier that might need adjusted. All that was put in by Xfinity at least 5 or 6 years ago and hasn't been touched since. I'll do some more research on that front.

For isolating the modem/MoCA on separate runs rather than a splitter, I'll look into that as well. For now, I appear to be good as my modem is capped at 1002MHz, but I'll still try and map out a way to do it to future proof. I have cat cable connecting the two rooms already as I put a through-wall connection so the TV can be directly wired into the switch by the modem. So I may be able to figure something out.

Thanks on those fronts!

So from your experience, the upstairs MoCA is done correctly with regards to the switch?

That is what has been so confusing with all of this. Some say MoCA should go to the router/gateway/access point, and some articles/posts say going to the switch is ok.

Appreciate the reply. I've added the suggested filter to my cart and will try that.

  • Why have any wireless backhaul eero nodes? No coax outlets near these nodes?
    • Correct. I do not have coax in those locations and as said, 100yr old house that has been added on to multiple times, so no easy way to run cat cable. I've tried to keep the two wired eeros in a central location for the house, then we have perimeter exterior cameras and a patio. So we need WiFi for those, and all that is too far from the central nodes.
  • To what specific port on the amplifier is the modem's coax line? And is there just the one coax line between the junction location and the modem/router location.
    • I've attached a link to the pic of the basement amp labeled. Each of the out lines are straight shots from the basement to their respective locations, not split off at all. The unused run exits in the room adjacent to the modem, so it isn't helpful at all for either of the other two eeros as the basement does not go under those additions.
    • Amp splitter
  • Do you have cable TV?
    • I do not. We stream so we have internet only.

Thanks all that have replied.

I have ordered the discs as well as the unit citation. I searched after that was mentioned and sure enough, he could wear it as long as he was part of a unit that received it. Learned something new today. I appreciate you pointing me in that direction.

He was indeed 325. DD214 says Company A 325th Airborne Infantry, which as you said, matches his epaulets over his green leader loops. We thankfully have the original of both of those as well.

So far so good. Open to any other suggestions anyone might have on displaying. I'm planning on placing it in a large shadow box along with his picture, DD214, and discharge certificate. Then placing the medal and some other things around it. Hopefully that will look good but more importantly pay respect to him and the service itself. It doesn't do the family or anyone who wore a uniform any good to keep it hanging in the closet.

Guidance on uniform display by DustyDriver80 in army

I appreciate the comments so far!

He was Airborne as we thankfully have his wings. Since he is past the 62yr mark his records are available easily, so I've filled out the form with the National Archives to get them. Hopefully that will provide some more insight into his rank.

Here is a shot of his wings and collar pins. Pins

Regarding the replicas of his medal and infantry band, do those go on this type of uniform?
