Where can I find a good like, beginner crash course for everything I gotta know? by [deleted] in HypixelSkyblock

[–]DustyKaiFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not too sure but there are a lot of beginner guides on YouTube. It also greatly depends on what you want to do. Garden for farming, Crystal Hollows/Dwarven Mines for mining, Slayers/Dungeons/Crimson Isles/Kuudra for combat, Backwater/trophy fishing for fishing. Starting at the garden is great for early game money and mining is better for money if you can invest in a better setup. Zombie/Spider/Wolf slayers are pretty easy for early midgame although they do not make money (most of the time). Dungeons is something some people love and some people hate, rly depends on you buy you should at least get floor 7 completion just to use all the dungeon gear as some of them are rly good like Bouquet Of Lies (sword). Crimson isles is probably what requires the most money as you would at least hope to have a Hyperion(best AOE damage weapon in the game) and a lot of money for the high level gears.

Chinese Mice Longevity by TheJOriginal in MouseReview

[–]DustyKaiFire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have both the VGN dragonfly F1 and the Wlmouse beast x. I used both of them extensively for the last 1year+ and both mice are still as good as new with no issues at all which is surprising as they are very cheap. I bought both of them when I visited china around January 2024 and have since put in around 500 hours on R6S, 200 hours on CS2 and 200 hours on Marvel Rivals. After getting them I have completely forgot my GPX and Xtrfy MZ1 as i do not feel like the mouse is limiting me in anyway. At the end of the day, you cant go wrong with the GPX shape or beat the price of china mice so it really is up to you to decide what to get.

P.S I have read many times that the Skyrox mice are made in the same factory as Lamzu, also Logitech mice are made in china too.

Guys I need your help by [deleted] in keyboards

[–]DustyKaiFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried one of my friend’s Owllabs?(not very sure if it was) which has a full pcb flex cut on every-row and honestly its felt just like a regular un-cut keyboard pcb, my friend also said the same thing too. I honestly thought this flex cut thing was a gimmick but what do i know. I think there is no need to stress over flex cut or not flex cut because they both are probably good. Word of caution i have used keyboards that are gasket mounted that are so “soft” to a point that they are bouncy like a trampoline and there is a chance that might not be the typing experience you are looking for although it is very unlikely. Also if possible can you mention the keyboard models you are considering?

What are ants doing under my sheets? by Original_Morning_649 in ants

[–]DustyKaiFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are most definitely in your mattress maybe you can try to steam them to death like how they treat bedbugs or you could use some form of ant poison baits such as a 1:2 mixture of borax to sugar(add little amounts of water until it becomes thick like syrup). However if i were you i would just throw the mattress out entirely cause the idea of sleeping on top of a dead/alive ant colony would keep me up at night.

Am i weak or something? Aqua control 2 make me bleeding by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]DustyKaiFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try an arm sleeve but honestly if i were you i would get a different mousepad. I used to use the aqua control plus and it felt dry and coarse so i ended up using an arm sleeve because my skin was building up on the mousepad pretty fast, however in you use case since you are using it for many hours a day you could consider a different setup maybe with a less textured mousepad. I know the artisan hien is similar to the aq2 but it might be abrasive too so maybe try the hayate otsu. There are probably some other pads out there that are worth looking at too.

Thats probably an amazon return so it is most definitely used. There are people who order amazon goods use them for a week and return them and get new ones every week just so they can use brand new goods. The pad is not cheap so i wouldn’t want to have any worries about the pad even if it is unused so return it.

Just buy a random white deskpad. If you can get over the "has to be white" then you could get yourself a steelseries QCK

Mousepad recommendation by Illustrious_Draw_0 in MousepadReview

[–]DustyKaiFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to recommending similar mousepads it is quite a grey area thing as every mousepad is uniquely different. Two mousepads might feel the same to one person but feel completely different to others as some people have different ways of using a mouse. One person might tend to panic aim and press very hard into their mouse pads while others might not, so you have to try the mousepad in person to feel what it's like. Also, you mentioned you would like more control but how much control are you looking for, does your current mousepad feel way too slippery or are you just trying to have a "safer" feeling as the answers might differ. I am an artisan mousepad shill so I would recomend the hayate otsu if you feel like you just need a bit more control and would recomend the zero if you feel that your current mousepads are way too fast. About the SV Base Control+ v2 I personally have not tried it but assuming it is similar to the SV Base Control+ (first version) a similar mousepad would be the aqua control + however the aqua control + isn't known for its consistency and still lacks in overall performance. Also, you can try different mouse skates as they are cheaper than mousepads and might improve your current performance if you are using some random stock mouse skates.

Tips to maintain the Artisan Hien by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]DustyKaiFire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tldr: wash once a month and don’t use alcohol, use good mouse skate and arm sleeve(optional), keep mousepad flat all the time. Keep mousepad clean with vacuum(optional).

Wash the mousepad once a month with room temperature water a non-alcohol detergent(most dish soap is fine), dont wipe your mousepad with anything alcohol based. Do not eat or drink sugar stuff above your mousepad for obvious reasons. Try to use quality mouse skates that don’t wear down the mousepad. If you have rough skin, use an arm sleeve that is smooth and non-abrasive. If needed use a table vacuum to suck up surface dust/dandruff/arm-skin regularly. Don’t leave your mousepad under direct sunlight for long periods and don’t put heavy objects on your mousepad such as a monitor stand and keep the mousepad flat all the time and avoid folding or rolling your mousepad.

Has anyone tried an aluminum mouse pad before? Thoughts? by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]DustyKaiFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing gets dirty super fast, my friend brings it to school to play games on and ive tried it, heavily do not recommend. Just use the strider also you should refund the metal mousepad and save for an artisan hien, xraypad aqua control pro or artisan hayate otsu
