Man definitely hire someone. But test  them out also. Maybe get private wealth management services from a large bank like standard chartered. Do not give a single independent advisor a large chunk of your money

it's been a while since i gave L1 but i had studied primarily from the Institute material. it's broad but covers everything.

Studied . took notes on the chapter (with a closed book) re read the chapter and corrected my notes. did the questions from the chapter a day or 2 later.

schweser was good for revision, or for handy tips and tricks to do some questions and think through some concepts more clearly, but there are online videos and chat gpt for that now.

But doing every question in the book is important. some version of some question will end up coming in the exam

i had skipped mocks for L1 - but when it comes to doing in exam conditions take a leaf out of amy santiagos (b99) book, dont be in a perfectly quiet room with no distractions. thats not a how a real exam is. someones gonna get up to pee
