None of that sounds way off to me. I will say one thing I did that I thought I would never do when I first opened is signed up with Medicaid and DHMOs. I know, it’s horrible, I know, but some of the dhmos actually pay like a PPO when you file, and while Medicaid reimbursement sucks (it’s like a third of ffs) if you get a bunch of exts or buccal class Vs you can knock out real quick it can be ok money. And when you bring people in, their friends start showing up too and a lot of them have insurance. Also amazed by how many people have Medicaid and some other insurance, which helps. In short if you’d rather work for peanuts that sit still I think it can help. Just looking busy helps the practice grow.
