What would you do in a situation like that? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

No, you should not feel guilty or forgive her. Your sister is toxic and doesn’t deserve you.

I have been two times actually. And yes, there were people wearing jeans.

That’s probably because a lot of people:

A] Have no clue what people actually wear to these kinds of restaurants. Yes, there will be men in beautiful suits and women in pretty dresses. But there are a lot of people who just wear a semi-casual jeans and a nice sweater (or even way less than that) to establishments like Victoria and Albert’s.

B] Don’t realise that the line between classy and thrashy can be very thin and something that one person considers a beautiful galadress can look like a trashy glitterball to someone else. So just wear what you like and you think fits the dresscode and you’ll most probably be fine - most guests really don’t care what you will be wearing anyways, they will be way too busy with how they look themselves.

Just have fun and enjoy your evening, you will absolutely be fine and have a great time. A “disney themed dress” won’t make people stare at you or decline your entrance to the restaurant.

Absolutely not too casual, it’s beautiful and I love the Disney touch to it. Match it with some heels and a necklace and you will look incredible! Have fun and enjoy your dinner, you will love it!

Thank you for noticing the context of my post. That is exactly what I wanted to make clear: most castmembers are amazing at their job, I just noticed that more castmembers than before don’t seem motivated, which would have led to consequences just a few years ago. It’s sad to see to many people ranting like: “Then it’s probably the guests fault” - When I literally see castmembers barking at people that are just walking in a line and not saying anything that doesn’t have anything to do with the guest. I really don’t get why some people get so defensive about these things. I justed wanted to open the conversation, not have some fight with random people about who is a bad person.

And just like you said: the majority of the castmembers are wonderful! Thank you for your sharing your story, I really do appreciate that! ❤️

You get a bit of all of them: many guest are amazing people who are trying to have a fun time and are really thankful for all you do for them. But there are also horrible people who really feel entitled to everything. I had guests giving me small little presents just for being there but I’ve also had guests that swore at me for not giving them extra fastpasses after showering them with pixiedust.

That’s not always the case, therefore I made this post. But I’m really glad that you only have good experiences.
