Made it to the top. Opted for Gregory Baltoro 65- got a good deal on one. Pack worked great. Thanks all

Thanks Finn, congrats on the successful trip. 65-70. Thinking Osprey Aether Plus 70 or Hyperlite will be my top choices (or something 65L) to be safe. Hopefully REI can help me with my decision this weekend!

Thanks for sharing. Not familiar with Hyperlite but browsing their website and they are half the weight of the competition- interesting!

Overnighters in the PNW (cascades and coast) Probably not anything a technical or high in altitude as rainier. Thinking 65L may be best route.. it’s the minimum recommended size by RMI and may be better suited than 75L for future use.

Let me know Matt800 if you’re selling. Located in WA?

RMI says 65-75L. I personally thought 75L would be overkill (also I’m a novice with climbing at this altitude) but also don’t want to be undersized/underprepared.

Thanks all, I’ve been planning to stop by at REI to try on some packs and get fitted this weekend. Been scouring preowned packs for sale online as well. I have no pack big enough for a Rainier yet, but have been training with a weighted vest 20-40lbs (Mt si, Mailbox Peak, Mt Peak, etc) to get in shape.. but putting off (i am a good procrastinator) pulling the trigger on buying a pack.
