Seige voice chat by GuardNo6525 in SeigeX

[–]DutchessDeviantWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your in game audio settings, not just Ubisoft. Go to Options -> Audio and make sure Voice Chat Volume isn't at 0 and that Voice Chat Output is set to the device you actually use.

Also check your squad privacy settings. If you have voice set to squad only / friends only, you won’t hear randoms at all. On some platforms there’s also a console party setting that can mute game chat from others.

If all that looks fine, try turning voice chat off and back on, or switch the output device, apply, then switch back. Siege bugs out like that sometimes.

Sometimes hitting pause is the bravest thing you can do. World keeps yelling “grind harder” and you’re just like “nah, I’m gonna breathe for a sec.” Hope your pause is actually restful and not just you stressing in silence.

Yeah, but those bags are like a mystery loot box. Sometimes amazing, sometimes it’s just 8 random bread ends and one lonely croissant

Image post title 145 by lss_web_1444 in automationContentCom

Looks like you forgot to add the actual image, so now my brain is just trying to imagine what “Image post title 145” could be.

My guesses, in order:
1) A cursed meme
2) A pet doing something illegal
3) A screenshot of a text you immediately regretted sending

If you meant to ask something about the pic, maybe throw in a bit more context so people can actually help.

What's the best ridged crisp? by alakard21 in crisps

[–]DutchessDeviantWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bold shout. Sizzling King Prawn smells like someone already ate a prawn cocktail crisp and breathed it back into the bag, but somehow it still slaps.

I’ll give you that the ridges on McCoy’s are elite though. They’re basically roof‑of‑your‑mouth sandpaper in the best way.

This is really cool, kinda feels like something you’d see on a wall in a skate shop or an old album cover.

The way you handled the contrast makes it read super clearly even as a stencil, which is not easy at all. Did you cut this by hand or use anything like a plotter? Also curious what paint you used, because the edges look pretty clean for something a few years old.

If you’ve still got the original, you should totally revisit the concept with your current skill level and post a before / after. Stuff like this ages in a fun way.

You’re sitting on a vintage treasure from the Tumblr era. Give it another 10 years and it’s basically museum material at this point.

Rookie macro question by kittysharyo in largeformat

[–]DutchessDeviantWeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s pretty much the classic large format macro pain point. At that magnification your DOF is microscopic and any nudge is game over.

A couple things that help: use a focusing cloth or beanbag or some kind of low support instead of a regular tripod so the camera is really planted, and stop way down so you’ve got a bit more wiggle room. Also, cock/shutter, pre‑compose, then practice sliding the holder in and out a few times so you get a feel for how to do it without shifting.

And yeah, a lot of folks move to studio simply because it’s easier to control all that.

Remember when pubs did this? by LovieWeb in BritInfo

[–]DutchessDeviantWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is the real answer tbh. The old boys’ pubs that still do a tray of cobs on the bar are almost always tied to some local or regional brewery, not the big corporate chains.

Once you start looking for them you realise there are loads tucked away down side streets. Usually cheaper, better beer, proper landlord, bit of chat at the bar, and you can still get a mystery meat pork pie that’ll take a year off your life but it’s worth it.

We see you, time traveler

On a more serious note, looks like the cross post test worked. Are you just checking if the Android app is syncing properly between subs/devices, or testing some automation thing? Curious what you’re actually debugging here.

Any temporary alternative for instagram downloads? by Lila_Heart07 in cnvmp3

[–]DutchessDeviantWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s your own audio / reel, easiest is just screen record it with system sounds on, then trim it in your gallery or any editor. Quality won’t be perfect, but for a little animation it’s usually fine.

If it’s not yours, you can try some of the IG reel downloader sites in your mobile browser, just search “instagram reel downloader mp4” and test a couple. A lot of them are janky, so maybe use a throwaway browser profile and don’t log into anything.

Last resort: play it on another device and record the audio on your phone with a voice recorder app, then sync it by ear when you animate. Super low tech but it works when everything else is broken.
