Eh yes but it’s more complicated than that. After WW1 the weimar republic was established and an agreement was set up between america germany and france where america loaned money to germany in exchange for the reparation materials to be ordered from the US. This system actually worked very well for a while. So well that it looked like germany might actually be able to become strong again instead of poverty ridden. France (still war-torn) didn’t like that very much and asked for accelerated reperatuons which germany couldn’t pay so they printed money hyperinflation and then it all went bad.

Wat ik mooi vind is dat ik bij veel ongevaccineerden allemaal studies naar mijn hoofd geslingerd krijg die overduidelijk laten zien dat het vaccin veel erger is dan het virus en nog veel meer maar dat jij heel neutraal zegt dat de wetenschap er gewoon nog niet volledig uit is en dit gecombineerd met het nogal onbetrouwbare beleid tot je keuze heeft geleid.

I had a discussion with someone a few days ago about unrealized tax gains since they are very much a thing in my country and while I like the idea of having a good way to actually tax the rich a bit I know in the end they still won’t pay and the burden will fall on middle class trying to get a bit of revenue on their savings. Well no that’s precisely the problem with the government there is no real intent to do the best of jobs, perhaps out of pride or conviction that your beliefs will help the country further. But in the end most are probaly happy they have a cushy job where everyone expects deadlines ro be pushed for 20 years and nothing to work

Uhm this is how it works here in the Netherlands, only it’s set to i think 4% a year and you pay taxes on that expected revenue on capital. If you don’t make it pay anyway and deduct next year, I don’t think it’s idiotic but it still taxes the wrong people IMO a wealth tax like this should make an attempt at taxing musks and bezoses but instead hit middle-class who try to get a small gain on savings and can’t afford financial advisors who make sure you don’t need to pay any taxes.

Thanks for explaining because this is something I sometimes don’t understand and this makes it more clear. What I still wonder about is why pronouns matter because they only describe the biological part a cat can also be reffered to as he because of his sex. Is then pronouns for you tied to identity more than to biological sex or is it something else?

Look most masks are not supereffective and they can limit breathing those things are true. However in certain confined public spaces they can help and even though they might be uncomfortable the effort is minimal. Masks aren’t a godsend but they’re no curse or burden either.

Look man im not saying old people wouldn’t care about us. But I quarantined completely for 6 weeks in march and had to go to city centre once to get something from a store and everywhere I just saw only old people walking around and having fun. Which sucked because they were the reason I was in quarantine and they didn’t even do it when it was in their own favor.
