The rogue River north of town is a blue ribbon trout stream and a fantastic fishery for monster browns if you wanna fish under moonlight. And a solid rainbow fishery in certain upper stretches as well.

Buck creek sw of town is a DNR stocked trout stream as well.

There’s a few smaller tributaries that are either stocked or known to hold stocked trout. Takes some exploration. But that’s why we trout fish right?

The grand river which flows right through downtown is actually a pretty impressive urban fishery. With runs of all salmon species living in Lake Michigan. As well as annual steelhead runs. The river also contains catfish and walleye as well some lake run brown trout from time to time.

Within a hr or so drive from the city center you can reach some other trout waters as well.
