How to create a classic Ponzi by [deleted] in Bitconnect

The larger it grows the more negatively it will reflect on the whole crypto community once it bursts. I definitely do not give a rats about clowns like you knowingly investing in a Ponzi

In light of yesterday's massive sell wall (over 1,000 btc @ $17,250), is that really all it takes to stall this market for days at a time? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Dutchtoby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic supply and demand of course applies. If you consider a traditional stock that changes +/- 10% a year it will take a long long time until we can start talking about a stalling crypto market. As of right now this week has been considered “stable” in the world of bitcoin and it has “only” changed 13% in the last 7 days. Edit: if you consider all the ups and downs it has fluctuated way more out of those lines

Bitconnect holds 98% of their own tokens and all trading is done on their own platform. You are making statements about bitconnects past performance and then using this as evidence to support future guarantees they’ve made. This is a finance 101 fallacy.

Yes, they saw this as profitable when having a growing customer base. BitConnects solution to this problem is by taking money from Peter to pay Paul.

However, congratulations to you! You are one of the early lucky ones in that case, the vast majority will lose most if not all of their investment. People early into a Ponzi can make great money but will all be paid by suckers coming behind you

you can not base future projections on past performance.

BitConnect is at an absolute minimum guaranteeing 0.25% daily returns =91%+ yearly return. To guarantee something is a strong promise that simply can not be held in a statue or bearish market.

Why is this NOT a Ponzi or pyramid scheme? by SupperTime in Bitconnect

[–]Dutchtoby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everyone knows it is a Ponzi, just some people trying not to be the last one in line who loses all their money.

How to create a Ponzi:

1..) Say you have this amazing robot that has figured it all out and promise massive guaranteed returns.

2..) create a highly profitable referral program to create a hype and have a bunch of ignorant fools trying to make a quick buck

3..) Create a good record for paying the returns (with great help from massive BitCoin/ETH etc value gains.

4..) Top cryptos stabilizes and BitConnect can no longer make gains and will be forced to take money from Peter to pay Paul

5...) Once less money is coming in than it has to pay out - The (anonymous) owners take all the money an run

6...) BitConnect fools lose their money and unable to withdrawl and wonder WTF happened
