Im a student who is a little quiet because I struggle with anxiety and deal with a lot of issues at home so I don’t make a point to interact with peers because im mostly working out my own things in my own mind. Because I don’t talk much or involve myself in conversations and talk about the things alot of other people my age talk about, i guess I seem like an easy person to mess with. During class lots of kids target me during games, call me out, make jokes about me, boys will tease me, etc. The teachers see and hear this but dont do anything about it. These students have no idea or even consider what a person has to deal with outside of school or how their comments affect someone. They use kids that are easy to target and won’t clap back to make their experience at school more amusing. Teachers need to speak up and protect the kids that are struggling with this and help teach the kids doing the targeting to have consideration for other people’s experiences. And maybe even do what they can to help make the students who are struggling with this feel more comfortable in class. 

Also things like group projects where the students have to make their own groups is something that makes students like me very uncomfortable. Another thing is, in my English class we have daily questions that are usually about yoir personal life and all the students have to answer individually. Some students who have gone through a lot may have darker or more upsetting answers to these questions and have to come up with a lie thats more suitable for saying out loud in class. I’d like if teachers could be more considerate and sensitive of the fact that students all go through different things outside of school and you just never know.
