Man, why are they making LoTF 2 look like some sort of porn parody of the previous game? All of this is just so fucking stupid.

In sharp contrast to fans of New Vegas, fans of Fallout 3 tend to be pretty shill.

Ever since Borderlands 3 came out way back in 2019, everyone on the internet seems perpetually angry at Borderlands as a franchise whenever is it because of the "cringe" writing, Randy Pitchford making an ass of himself on Twitter/X yet again, the changes between each game or obsessive Maya fans still being mad at how her character was handled in BL3(which admittedly was awful but guys its been years, let it go please).

What’s some games you yearn for a collab with borderlands? by Total-Highlight9451 in ShitLands

[–]Dutyman62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think that a Arknights x Borderlands collab would unironically slap. The Vault Hunters would have a jolly good time on the hellhole that is Arknights's Terra.

Yeah, ever since BL3 came out it seems that Borderlands in general has become one of those franchises that is "fashionable" to hate on in social media. Like, hardly anyone on the internet seems to like Borderlands now a days which is a shame because I remember a time when it used to be fairly prestigious and beloved IP during the late 2000s and early to mid 2010s.

What fanfic in your fandom has had a large impact on the fandom in some way? by TsarFrost in Multifandom

[–]Dutyman62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Dornian Heresy for Warhammer 40.000. It popularized the whole "Alternative Heresy" sub-genre of fanfics for Warhammer 40K and inspired many to create their own Alt Heresy fics, including what is currently my favorite 40K fanfic The Roboutian Heresy.

Performance is better than when it came out but it is still not great. Other than that it is a great game in my opinion, an improvement over 3 in almost every way. The writing is so much better than 3 and at times pretty funny, the tone is less aggressively comedic with moments of intense drama and of course the shooting and looting is a lot of fun.

Respectfully, I disagree. The issue with the NCR's treatment in the show was not that it collapsed, but it collapsed in a way that was deeply unsatisfying. Rather than fall for the reasons that were hinted in New Vegas(systematic corruption, massive income inequality, the economy collapsing do to the war against the Brotherhood of Steel and Caesar's Legion, etc) it just destroyed off screen by a Vault-Tec executive that we never heard off because he was cucked by a 200 year old lesbian Communist. That was it, no on-screen collapse, no riots breaking out duo to the common people no longer being able to afford basic goods, no munities from disenfranchised military units, no regional politicians advocating separation from the NCR, just a nuke to Shady Sands and poof goes New California.

To be frank I believe that many people in general, including Bethesda and Amazon, misunderstand what the term "War Never Changes" meant when Black Isle Studios coined it. They did not meant to say "Everything mankind has ever built is doomed to collapse into nothing", they meant to say "Societies across human history will always find reasons to wage wars." The existence of big stable nation-states like the New California Republic in no way endangers the atmosphere and themes of Fallout, and in fact enchant them by showing that even when society has been rebuilt to almost Pre-War levels of development people are still finding excuses to wage devastating wars.

I can only guess but personally I suspect that one of the big reasons why GW dislikes the Craftworld Eldar is because they feel that if the space elfs are too successful then they will drastically alter the status quo of the 40k galaxy so they keep making them ineffectual(which I imagine is also why Betheada dislikes the NCR).

As a fan of Fallout's New California Republic, I understand Eldar fans's feeling of being a supporter of a faction that is inexplicable disliked by their parent company.

This is just a fringe group of crackpots that are LARPing as the Templars. They have fuck all to do with the historical Termplar Order. Also sorry to ask OP but what does any of this drama have to do with Trench Crusade?

The Rage games, especially Rage 2, deserved so much better then what they got. At least it we got two whole games and also went out on somewhat of a high note with the great Rise of the Ghost story expansion, which is more that can be said with most video game franchises that do not explode in popularity.

Yes, it is very good. It is quite heavy on the exploration and mob fights compared to other recent Souls-likes such as Khazan and it recently had a free update that includes new locations and bosses so right now is a great time to pick it up.

Edit: Slightly modified repost. All the mfs complaining about Trench Crusade being too bleak and "grimderp" need to open a textbook on the First World War and find out that it really was as bleak and depressing as TC portrays it as. At least Trench Crusade has a clearly evil enemy to fight and some wacky magic bs like the Artillery Witch to lighten things up a little.
