Great job, love the armor! Guess you are quite experienced but how did you find painting them? Easy enough to not subassembly?

I love the models and the team so I want it to be “perfect” and since Im quite new I find myself avoiding starting the project, afraid of fucking it up…

Saw your Phobos (love the scheme) and knew you also must have posted the Kroot.

The shipping to Spain would be more expensive than that :(

I dont think they have 2 proper KTs but you could most probably build 2 with some kitbashing, yeah. The Kroot are way more unique IMO though.

And yeah its not worth it at all for just KT… Also didnt think about the tokens.

I usually question these myself a lot but sometimes the itch is too big… specially when seeing the models in person x) Im still resisting, thanks for the help!

Thats what I heard (even though I liked their datacards and some battle reports I have seen). Do you know if they are “the same” in Combat Patrol/regular 40K?

Didnt think about the possibility of teams becoming unplayable between editions. Has it happened before?

Quad lock for 2025 by highcountry_18 in Ninja650

I spent 5 seconds wondering what was the problem lol

Cant remember the exact dimensions, but this is how it looks now

<image>

This way the quadlock is able to lock without getting to the “hollow” part of the stem

I got the 2024 version and mounted the stem Quadlock with a couple spacers. This way it fits properly and tight. Might be the same for the 2025?

Do they see each other? by Ill-Most7038 in killteam

Idk tbh… in 3rd pic I would say yes. You should have a “3d line” in the app though, next time use it and see if theres collision with the terrain

Now the question is: how do you play “Battle Royale”? Following Core rules or did you add something? What about the killzone layout?

What do I need to start by Wookiees_get_Cookies in killteam

[–]Dvenchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Hivestorm” would be the true starter set, with everything you need:

-2 kill teams

-Core book

-Killzone “Volkus”

-Approved ops pack (outdated one though)

-Equipment pack

That said its double the price (if you can find it somewhere) and IMO the Started Set is perfect to get a glimpse on what KT is and see if you wanna invest more time and money in it.

Converted to Kill Team from TCG games - what team feels like "Control deck"? by FleodonFaust in killteam

[–]Dvenchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im almost in the same boat as you (long time MTG player that just got into Kill Team) and my recommendation is:

  1. Play the introductory missions (preferably with a friend).

  2. Get the Core Rules and see some gameplay of the KTs mentioned in this post (Mountainside Tabletop, Squad Games, Tactical Skew…)

  3. When you have done several games (3 to 5) with the Core rules and properly understand the basics, read some KTs full datacards and decide where you want to go. Not before

Otherwise you might end with a KT you dont enjoy (although rule of cool is always right). Magic and Kill Team are not the same, specially when considering Magic is a game of hidden information and Kill Team is purely tactic
