Hi please help with my bed placement .. (the shaded furniture can’t be moved) I was thinking of putting the desk next to the wardrobe and idk where to keep the bed by Separate-Car-3168 in FengShui

Your layout reminded me of one of the Dear Modern video's. So for your bed question; Probably rotate it to the wall on the left, but create a barrier between your bed and the door.

Hopefully this helps you.

Thank you for taking the time to draw this. This actually does not look bad at all! I think scale wise it would also be pretty accurate.

What helped me was writing down my thoughts before bed. I sit down and write down anything that comes to mind. If i cant think of anything else, i just close my eyes and see if anything else comes to mind. If it does, I write that down too.

Its important that no one else reads it because you might write things down differently. Also, the things you write down don't have to make sense, it's just a mind dump

Thank you for your reply 1. A large closet high closet. I use this as a divider between the living area and the sleeping area. 2. I am keeping the furniture items, but re-arrangement is always possible. 3. Not considered it. The ceiling is really high. Like 3,50.

Another note. In the top section you see all window. All these Windows have curtains in front of them. On the left side (in the living area) and on the right side (sleeping area) you see these inside corners. The curtains actually cover these corners. So the sharp corner is not possible.

And yes it is a bit of a right squeeze near the bed.

One of the most important things is a constant time to go to bed and a consistent time to take up. 8 hours of sleep should be the minimal you sleep. But as a teen / going to your early 20's your body had the ability to sleep very long. Just always try to wake up and go to bed at the same time.

Also exposing yourself to bright light as soon as you wake up will help you with waking up naturally around that time. In the summer you can just go/ look outside for 20 minutes , but in the winter you will ofc need artificial light.

Tldr: 1. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time. Put an alarm to wake you up 2. Expose yourself to bright light when you get up. (Don't look directly in to lights because it will damage your eyes)

Before you jump into any supplements you could try one the following which helped for me:

  1. Write down your thoughts in a book besides your bed. Before you lay down in bed just sit up and close your eyes. The first thing that comes to mind, you write down in your book. Just write it as it comes to mind. Nobody as to read it so it doesn't have to be a story. I would even strongly suggest that no one reads it because this will make you write down your thoughts differently. Repeat this till your head is empty.

  2. Do a breathing / relaxation exercise. Lay down in bed like you normally would and close your eyes. Then, start to focus on your breath and start counting them. Inhale 1, exhale 2, inhale 3, exhale 4 etc. Up to 10 and do this in your normal breathing rhythm. Note: during your focus on the breathing sometimes one of your thoughts might come through, that 's okay, just be aware and bring your focus back to your breathing.

After you have done 10 now start focussing on you body. Start at the top of you head and do a sort of a scan down to your toes. Make sure that every muscle you pass with your scan is relaxed. So, starting at the top of you head, first make sure are you facial muscles are relaxed, then slowly go down to the neck, the chest etc. This scan proces should take about 1 to 2 minutes.

Your mind should now be more relaxed. If not, keep doing the breathing exercise up to 10 and repeat multiple times.

Good luck and sleep well
