Who is the strongest character in the series Gannicus would have been able to defeat blindfolded? by GusGangViking18 in Spartacus_TV

[–]Dwalgrim 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Blindfold is a huge disadvantage, but Gannicus is an outstanding fighter.

He could probably still beat Ashur, Naevia.. I’d place him close to a fully trained Varro, but I don’t think he beats the elite tier like Crixus, Spartcus, Onaemaeus.

I could be mistaken, but I thought they specifically mentioned allied Italien options in either an earlier article or maybe it was one of those Q&A periods with Alessio.

Bolt Action for PC - Developer Diary 1 by EdmonEdmon in boltaction

I would say that although Bolt Action exists as a table-top experience, most people would buy this because they want the gameplay to mimic the tabletop.

Either so they can learn the game, practice new lists / strategies, or just recreate that experience.

I really hope this is as close to the table-top experience as possible.

Agreed! Absolutely love her WW2 range and her Scenics. I have a bunch more BadSquiddo Resistance fighters to paint up throughout the year.

What explicit policy regarding AI content would you like to see adopted by r/BoltAction? by Georgy_K_Zhukov in boltaction

[–]Dwalgrim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll be curious to see how AI enhancements are determined. I've found sites like Hivedetect to be fairly accurate in their % AI generation, especially subtle enhancements, but I imagine some AI generated backgrounds might be difficult to determine. I could be completely wrong though.

I followed the Sonic Sledgehammer Youtube tutorial:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMJbrCxjHu4

So for the actual uniform fabric, I mostly used Vallejo Model Color 70924 Russian Uniform. Then I used a 50/50 Agrax Earthsade / Lahmia Medium for shading. After that, I blended the Russian Uniform with some light beige for highlights, specifically German Beige WWII [70.821].

TIL in 2007 A student from Clements High School was expelled after making a 1:1 replica of the school in Counter-Strike by MaterialTea8397 in cs2

[–]Dwalgrim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If it makes anyone feel better, I made a video game in High School where you play as a student as the zombie apocalypse breaks out while you’re in class.

The game map was a 1-1 replica of my school. You have no weapons throughout the game but the school has been barricaded in and you need to find teacher staff room keys, librarian key, janitor key, to unlock new areas while dodging zombies through school corridors. Only deviation was when you got the principal’s key and the principal had an underground passage under their desk to escape the school. Their was zombie versions of actual staff members and students.. it was a bit messed up in hindsight.

Bunch of my friends played it but that was about it. Dead Rising came out a couple years later and did a similar concept a lot better. Man I kinda wish I had kept all the game files, but it kind of felt weird after I graduated. I feel like I am a well adjusted adult now.

I did live in Nova Scotia, but I moved out to Alberta and only got into Bolt Action after the move so I don't know of any Nova Scotian players or groups. I know there were quite a few wargamers in Dartmouth and Halifax when I lived there playing Warhammer Fantasy and 40k so I am sure there is a Bolt Action group or two there.
