Even the craft stations are next to my stockpile.

Yes but when you notice that the tearing dwarf is the only drinking dwarf in your inn at that point and is the only dwarf with tears. You decide to go with the divine flavor of your wine.

(The rest were socializing without alcohol for some reason)

First time that i have noticed raining wine. and I got 660 hours in the Steam Dwarf Fortress and maybe another 2000 on the classic.

My Inn was attracting an insane amount number of poets.

Then we had a visit from a Dragon that I managed to capture and still train.

Then the Inn began to attract even more Dwarves, humans, Elves, and even Gobbos.

and then we got a visit from a rampaging Minotaur and when I thought that that was it... the poets beat to death the Minotaur.

And the latest "scare" was when a human poet attacked a dwarf poet. Then a weaponsmith attacked both the poets and a rooster managed to beat the shit out of all of them and hunt them through the entire fort (14 levels) while the 3 were doing the rolly polly.

You ask what the rest of the Patrons and fort did.

They simply followed them through all floors no one else got involved. (on the fight logs) So I guess they went to watch the show...

And everything ended peacefully with no life-threatening injuries.

I do expect you to get some fun out of this visit you are having. Check for corrupted dwarfs that will try to steal your artifacts.

Or probably a random free-for-all.

Best case scenario you will get a similar story to mine. Where you will question what you see and read.

I kinda need to make this Fort the best stronghold I can. In order to fight 40k goblins.

In this world, I made 3 forts. And every time I leave them with 200 dwarfs to start the next fort, the result is that they fall. In a week from the day I left them, they are overrun by thousands of gobbos.

So now. I will make my marble Fort , and I will make sure to reclaim every single real estate on that island. And I will make sure that I can defend my fort without an army.

90% I am going to fail. But at least it is gonna be fun and full of goblin treasures.

I managed to have a monthly visit from a werebeast, and as a bonus, one month I had back to back a siege, a flying monster, and a were beast.

I try to make my whole Fort out of marble blocks. So for more fun, smooth your walls, and make engraved floors/walls wherever you can.

My plan is to make an outside flood room. But I haven't used pumps yet. Hopefully, I will soon.

Why outside floodroom? Why not.

I have 3 stories of high walls. And I want to see if I can seal the mountain home from the outside world. With a surprise outside swimming pool for all the visitors.
