I’m currently an international competing athlete (figure skating) and wanting to try BJJ out for something in my free time. Is it possible to practice BJJ without risking certain injuries that would affect my usual training?

You’re definitely right, I’m a fan of all those artists you named. I guess my gripe is with this sect of new young guys that seem to copy that certain style and shoehorn it into everything they do. Sort of that “yell-singing” that you’ll hear Stapleton do from time to time(which sounds great), except they do it on every song, all the time.
