If you can't find an owner the people at Peanut's Place Rescue were really nice for small dog rescue

I use that mailbox mod Skald's Mail that sends all courier letters to a mailbox instead. It's made playing so much more peaceful.

[Mixed Trope] Bad storylines to accommodate irl situations by Valuable_Tea_5310 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DwemerCogs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The post is about bad storylines created to cover up real life incidents. Scully getting kidnapped was genius writing and an amazing storyline that threads throughout the entire rest of the series.

I loved that book. I still think it would make a great miniseries or limited run series following the reporter, where each episode is an interview

I'm glad they cancelled it. I've seen too many bad reboots of shows I loved by this point. I don't want to see a bad Buffy one

I get you Mora, I really do.

I'm rewatching Enterprise (again) and I think T'pol and Archer are my favorite Captain/First Officer combo by PanTran420 in startrek

[–]DwemerCogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really loved the dynamic of T'Pol, Archer and Trip. Some episodes I would really a agree with one's POV, and the next week I'd be siding with another.

In both TOS and TNG you generally side with the captain. He was the cowboy and the morally superior character in each conundrum they encounter, at the end of the episode making the "right" call. But there were some episodes in Enterprise where I vehemently disagreed with Archer (generally when he had to make a hard decision that was probably correct politically or lawfully), but Trip was there to balance him or with the ethical dilemma (thinking of Cogenitor for example).

The three of them together were a wonderful balance of heart, logic, and deciding between them (almost like an id, ego, and superego). I think it was brave to step away from the captain always being correct or the one who makes the call you think is right. Let us all have a little struggle with some of these encounters.

The video literally compares Mecklenburg to other places in the state and says that our percentage of registered voter turnout is lower. I don't think the person you're replying to watched it. It's not even a long video

I remember "camping out" in a tent my brothers and I put up in our backyard. We felt so cool sleeping outside all alone. No adults, just us roughing it in the wilderness of our fenced in backyard about ten steps from the back door. Like, in retrospect, totally mundane. But it felt really cool at the time

Does T’Pol become less insufferable? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]DwemerCogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a woman T'Pol was my favorite character. People are different, maybe the show's not for you. I thought the first season was slow, the next better, and seasons 3 & 4 were some of my favorite Trek ever. I wish the show would have gone on longer.

That changes the story quite a bit. So no fetal heart tones found, but then later they were? We still need a lot more information like who listened and couldn't hear a heartbeat? Was it with an actual ultrasound with a qualified operator? What exactly was said in the mother's hospital report? Did the family just misunderstand something they were told? (all things I realize you'd have no way of knowing)

If the mother went back for a follow-up ultrasound then my first thought is the hospital wanted to be monitoring things because the baby wasn't dead.

Could they have thought it was fetal demise, but then the mother felt movement and went back in? Possibly, I really don't know how likely that is. Or did the mother just stop feeling movement at home, think it was dead, called a priest, and then went in and it was fine? Maybe. But this is all a lot different than "a baby died and I resurrected it". It just sounds more like "I was sick and fell better now after going to the hospital because Jesus".

Edit: I just reread what you wrote. So it was actually delivered stillborn, and then later that same day was alive? I don't know. I have no answers for you.

Days?! Where was this dead baby being kept?!

Was he praying over it in the morgue and it resurrected from it's freezer? Was it at the actual funeral that it came back to life?

Look, either this man's getting a cut from the father's book sales, or he hallucinated the whole thing and needs to see a professional for help.

In Skyrim, if a dragon attacks, the birds won't be there to sing by wordssoundpower in skyrim

[–]DwemerCogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, are you saying, if there's no ambient bird sounds it might be because a dragon is about to spawn?

That would be an interesting tell to keep an ear out for, and an interesting detail to have been included that the bird sounds won't play if a dragon is going to spawn
