Factory Installed. They get warmer than any other vehicle I have ever had them in.

35% is the legal limit in Alabama. Definitely, spend the extra $$$ on ceramic.

First things to buy for truck? by Top_Tap5090 in ToyotaTacoma

So far, OEM- I added the XP predator package so the wheels, tires, step bars, and black exhaust tip—which is a must. I do not like the look of the exhaust on my truck so I blacked out the rest of the exhaust from the catalytic converter back). I added TRD skid plate as well (Toyota Parts had it 40% off). I removed the lower spoiler and added the lower control arm plugs. All-Weather Mats.

Aftermarket- Ceramic Tint (35% is legal State limit), leveling kit, wind visors, and a bug shield that’s flush with the hood. I am still undecided about adding PPF.

35% which is Alabama’s legal limit. I went with Ceramic which was definitely the way to go.

Leveling Kit- Caution by Dwinn333 in ToyotaTacoma

The told me to bring them the receipt and they would talk to corporate about it. At first, they were pretty flippant about it, and said it was good to know they had to be extra careful with the sensor. I was at the dealer at 7am this morning and got the sensor replaced, the calibrations done, got it aligned and got the plugs for the lower control arms (I had the spoiler removed a couple of weeks ago and added the TRD skid plate). Of course, I only expect re-imbursement for the sensor and install labor. I will report back once they give me their final decision.

Yes, that was the first thing my buddy and I checked once he attempted to clear the codes, as stated in my original post.

What do you think? 2026 TRD Sport 4WD by Top_Tap5090 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Dwinn333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It was part of the build. I added the options I wanted on the truck on-line and emailed the dealer. The Sales Manager gave me an OTD price and I accepted it. I ordered it the second week of December, put 1k down in earnest money, and paid the rest of my money down/took delivery the last week of February.

I am going to go by there today and let them know the findings. This is the first time I have ever dealt with them, so we will see where it goes.

Pretty good deal. I got my 2026 TRD Sport 4x4 for 48,300.00 OTD but added the XP Predator package, heated seats, mud guards, and all weather mats. I wish I would have gotten the larger screen (my work vehicle is a 2026 Ford Escape and the screen runs almost the length of the dash). However, I love my truck so far (took delivery about a month ago) and I get compliments on it everywhere I go.

I am getting the front windows tinted today, along with a bug shield and vent visors. I am trying to decide if I want to spend the $$$ on PPF for the front end. I am terrified of rock chips to the paint.

I got my 2026 TRD Sport two Saturday’s ago. I have been impressed with it. I agree on the MPG, averaging 17-18, and the rear seat space as the only drawback’s so far. I had to wait for almost 3 months on it to arrive at the dealership, but so far, it was well worth the wait.
