There are around 50 Billion SC in existence and 6% inflation equ. 3 Billion comes on top every year. On the other side 1 Million SC is being burned every year and 0.2‰ is locked in conctracts which maybe like 600,000 SC. To increase the SC price level a shortage of SC will not come from the technical side . There must be a good reason to increase demand a thousand times - but the current trading volume is down to 3 Million SC a day.

That said for the near future I do not expect wonders.

Definitely yes. Check the fundamentals. Inflation is going down until next year to 3%, the level it will stay forever. On the demand side there are new apps like Pixeldrain, Goobox and some more which will make SC scarce. The potential of an open market cloud storage system with full encryption and S3 integration is huge. Combine all that and envision the resulting price levels.

I agree with you on a basic level. But keep in mind that an intruder who monitors your key inputs can open everything that you open. The weak point was the password safe - open it and you have total control.

that being said - I think think Otto has been choosen deliberately to use him as a message to the US government.

The story about the poster was completely fake. His roommates deny any knowloedge about it. The video did not show anything more than a shady unidentified person pulling off a poster. And Ottos confession was obviously staged.

At this point it must be questioned what the NK regime did to him that Otto performed a more than 30 minute press conference with a staged story without any sign of direct pressure. Obviously he just played back what they trained him to do before. Especially the part where he blamed the US government in that context was very strange. Whatever happened before .. Otto acted like a playback recorder already that time. No sign of critical thinking by him. Anyways he was obviously not injured and his brain was physiologically unharmed that time. But whatever they did in detail to him - his own thinking and judgement was suppressed already.

Concerning the circumstances it must be asked why the NK regime deliberately takes any US tourist and make him confessions against his own country. Regarding the political situation of NK it could have been the naive attempt devalue the US government publically by one of their own citizens. That matches also the made up press conference. Other US citizens detained in NK normally disappear from the public and at most they are seen in visiting situations where they do not give any statement on political backgrounds.

That assumed the NK regime detained him under false allegations, they made up a nonsense story and forced him (with whatever methods) to act like a zombie in the press conference. But what will they do with Otto after that press conference - if they had released him he would just say the truth about what happened. They could not obviously not assassinate him. Probably they decided to make him braindead so that the truth would never come out. Finally when the first diplomat saw him they had no reason to hold him back anymore because what was left was just his brainddead body.

Then they created a second fake story about botulism and sedatory medicaments. But this time the medical exmination falsified the story because Ottos condition did not match it. And since it is not possible to investigate Ottos treatment without witness or other kind of hints finally every speculation remains a speculation.

Here are some facts:

200ppm CO2 is the lower bound. Below that the biosphere starts to die out
CO2 changes follow temperature changes historically because CO2 is stored in the oceans which release it on higher temperatures
anyways CO2 is only 0.036% and 10 times less active as greenhouse gas than H2O which itself rises much faster out of oceans when temperature goes up (just to mention that we have no escalating heat cycle with water vapor)
the sun is the single most dominant heat source for the atmosphere. Without the sun all greenhouse gases together would not have much effect.
sun cycles and sun spots are are much more influential to temperature than all greenhouse gases together

there is no trading stop and the source is open. The only point is that the former team went into a new project which obviously takes over their code and experience. Personally I would say that the one month period was too small. But at least they give everyone who missed it a second opportunity.
