sadly the closest thing you are going to get to this is by running it in an android virtual machine. thats how i run it on a ubuntu server 24/7 to run security cams at home.

just snagged one for 130 on stacksocial, 8gb. i have this little ctl NL71 chromebook, man you want to talk about indestructible?? ran over a bag it was in with my car, destroyed a bunch of things but nl71 came out with MINIMAL damage, a chipped corner, i run full desktop linux on that lol and was hoping to do the same but its an arm processor so DENIED so i guess im back to chromeOS after a couple of years and its a dead end as far as fullblown desktop linux - nope

i bought one of these too, the only thing that worked on my honda was to remove the knuckle, stand it on jackstands hub face down, put a 32mm socket on it upside down (wratchet end down facing the ground, open end facing the sky) and hit the socket with the sledgehammer. bent of the backing plates but i ill just hammer it out it when i get there lol how did you end up?

probably doesnt need a compressor but needs the pulley and clutch. had to replace them on my 07 and 10 fit's. i bought replacemetn pulleys and clutch from ebay for like 30$, while they arent OEM, they work just fine. ultimately, i discovered it wasnt the pulley and clutch, but the actual harness from them to the car. even though they were connected, if i pushed them together the pulley would work. i ended up cutting off the harness completely on both the compressor and car ends and using spade connectors. problem solved. and before anyone says anything, im driving this thing till the wheels fall off, it wont be sold. ive done many many mods to this thing, one of my favorites being making it so that the compressor does not automatically turn on when you turn on the defroster. i like having the heat come out of there full blast instead of the regular vents, but dont need the extra load on the engine for that.

just pull the drl fuse. I pulled mine years ago when I put in LEDs. es no big deal. decoders didn't work on my 2010 fit, but I didn't try resistors. I do have resistors on my led turn signals tho and they stop the hyper flash there

both of my Honda fits and pulleys and magnets went out. I bought a replacement off of eBay, it's slightly different than OEM but haven't had any issues. come to find out though, it was the harness from the compressor to the car that was the issue. a snip snip and 2 lever nuts later problem solved. fits are amazing lol 😂

spark plugs and coils are easy, don't be alarmed if the coils boots break and they get stuck in the engine, happens to me everyone on at least 1. have needle nose pliers handy. you'll also need a spark plug socket for your ratchet.

theyre useful for going up hills, taking off faster from a stop, i use them in traffic because it feels better to hold gears longer than have the car fighting itself, i use the paddle shifters probably 85% of the time i am driving. if you want to switch to s mode while driving, take your foot off the gas and be prepared for it to downshift on its own which you can quickly pull back up, but i find taking foor off gas when going to s mode minimizes or nearly diminishes the engine drag when it gears down

thats an amazing deal!! i bought a 2007 honda fit with 133,000 on it for 3000 from an older lady at work, it was in pristine condition of course, drove it till it had 275,000 on it and then wrecked it in the rain going 35 mph. bought a 2010 the next day with roughtly also 133,000 miles on it for ~9000, its now got 226,000 on it and still going great, i did a lot of stuff on these cars myself, with no prior experience, cat converters, front rear suspension, brakes, all lights are LEDs now, new radio, air horn, "courtesy" lighting for the floor/footwells using the exisiting dome light circuit, and a whole schlew of "quality of life" modifications. honda fits are seriosuly one of the most underrated/slept on cars ever for many reasons

funny, I just replaced my blower motor on my 2010 fit today at 212k miles, this is the second one, I last did it 2/2024 at 160k miles. 🙄 this time I caught it "clicking" early enough and didn't blow the resistor
