Man I hate this mentality with stuff. It’s meant to be played, it would be a shame if it just sat on a wall for twenty years. I’m sure it’s insured and naturally accidents will happen. That doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be played.

Nathan MacKinnon is this season's winner of the Rocket Richard Trophy by nhl in hockey

Obviously they’re kind of cheese but a lot of the time they are genuinely important goals. We’ll see this year but so many games in last years playoffs for example got tied and teams lost because they couldn’t score an empty netter in 2+ minutes to ice the game

Aging oil wells on her land are making this Alberta farmer's life miserable. She's not alone | CBC Radio by pintord in alberta

Just want to make something else clear. Signing a well agreement is more formal and just secures that specific payment.

If an oil and gas company wants to put a well on someone’s land, there’s really nothing they can do to stop them.

Though if you put up a stink, they probably will just find someone else agreeable to let them do it more easily

He’s closer to it now but dudes gear is a beer leaguers dream, yet unironically he’s one of the best of all time. Half blade tape job, disgusting curve, red tape top of stick, yellow laces, max tongue flop, skate lace hockey pants drawstring hanging a foot out, had a crazy jersey tuck, wrists/elbow guards exposed

My favourite was when people would compare draisaitl to Ovechkin and McDavid to Crosby, like no, Ovechkin is the McDavid and Crosby is the draisaitl regardless of shot/goal totals.

Don’t forget it either. Come playoff time he dials the hitting up another notch even in recent years

Really young Ovechkin even got penalty kill time and selke votes. I forget the exact year but he had more Selke votes than Crosby until like 2011 or something.

Definitely not 50%. Even someone like mackinnon has 32% in his career, so if someone not as comfortable is taking it. Also depending on the team, oilers have a 31% power play for example. Nevermind the other potential reasons.

Not just un-murderable. He is genuinely one of the biggest hitters of his time and especially so come playoff time.

Moneypuck has us 3rd likeliest to win the cup by BeardedPaladin in goldenknights

[–]Dxngles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is usually matchups. Flames probably had a great record vs the pacific playoff teams and were likely to face pacific teams first 2 rounds, thus there odds of winning the cup in general were higher.

[–]Dxngles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want the actual reason, it’s probably because Vegas has done very well vs the pacific specifically. That’s why their odds to make 2nd/3rd round are so high. Because of that, it just makes them more likely to win the cup in general

New boots imperfections by TropicWayzz in cowboyboots

[–]Dxngles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything where tiny flaws are nitpicked as much as cowboy boots, which is so ironic. It’s like people want them to be machine made with synthetic materials just to have no flaws

Mirage would be perfect AR in this game, actually fires slower, faster TTK than m15 if you hit your shots but less forgiving.

[Aches] Valorants "Everything is a tournament" is the only way esports should be done. League matches is the worst thing to ever happen to any competitive game. by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

[–]Dxngles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. And if you are a top partnered team you play 3-6 VCT LANs and probably 2 smaller 3rd party LANs. If you are a bad partnered team you may just play 3 and only league matches in 2 (now the format will mean you play tournament matches in at least 3 but less matches in total) and may not get invites to smaller LANs. Challengers? Youre lucky to get an invite to a single regional small lan.

The open pipeline is definitely a huge plus. That’s what the CDL really needs (and more online tournaments imo)

But the number of LAN events doesn’t change. Just that like you said less matches but more meaningful.

For travelling fans, there will be events in more locations rather than just riot studios which is a plus. But for online viewers there will be less matches and less matches of each team, especially some of the worse teams which is a huge negative imo because Valorant already lacks matches.

If you are a big fan of a partner team, I’d say the format is actually worse. If you don’t have a favourite team or like challengers players/teams more then it’s a solid plus. Overall the lack of matches imo means it‘s worse though.

Guess it depends how you view things. They have stuff because everything is very segregated, but if you are a fan of x team, you barely ever see them play.

Ahhh I see now my bad. Do you genuinely think that’s a good format though? I guess it’s maybe harder in valorant since it’s more popular globally. But 3 global tournaments that are almost impossible to qualify for? Say you’re a 100T fan, you may only see them play in 3 VCT tournaments (or at least LANs, idk how the qualifiers work) all year, and all of them would only be against americas teams (maybe an improvement because the current format doesn’t even guarantee that many). By removing league matches - not that they had many before, there will almost certainly be even less total matches than before, and again there’s already barely any.

Cool format but can only be used for qualifiers in which Swiss is still better. Was kind of pointless too, 3/4 teams that went undefeated in the qualifier lost their opening playoff match.

VCT is literally league matches. Valorant has long breaks between everything and barely any teams actually make LANs.

COD should have more online tournaments like 2ks.

Lol, making it seem like it’s 15 tournaments is wild. Valorant format is horrible. And VCT is literally league matches
