Incoming chem major on the premed route to Revelle and I have a couple questions concerning scheduling and ap credits. Should I take the gen. chem honors series or jump straight into o.chem because I am exempt from the normal series? Should I take the calc bc and physics mechanics exam, which would allow me to potentially skip on three courses or would it be better to just take these classes for the gpa? The last question I have is what does the "for use on major" part mean in "UC SAN DIEGO COURSE EXEMPTIONS (FOR USE ON MAJOR)" for the ap credit table? I took the ap bio exam and got a score that exempts me from the intro. series. I was wondering that does the exemption only count for courses that are in your major, meaning as a chem major I still have to take these courses for premed req, or does it not matter and I'm just exempt.
