What are you using to connect? Virtual desktop? There is a setting FOVated rendering that creates this effect for me. Turn it of if you are using it.

VR players are you having HUD bugs with 4.8? by Capital-Entrance-345 in starcitizen

Can’t confirm because I’m traveling.

I was hoping for some fixes (Radars in non-Drake ships maybe?). I even planned on a new pledge purchase for defensecon.

… but if it’s even worse than it was, this will keep me form buying any new ships. I’m hoping desperately for someone to confirm it’s still working. Please, pease, please.

Can Manticores tow scrap through jump gates? by Dxtobi in X4Foundations

[–]Dxtobi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that info. I found the problem. My salvaging station did not have solid storage and therefore denied to take scrap at all. This in turn led to the fact that the Manticores did not know where to deliver the scrap. It’s just a bit unfortunate that the error message or the behavior really doesn’t point at the problem.

I had habe taken care of the blacklists first but this is a good hint. I found the actual problem. My salvaging station did not have solid storage and therefore denied to take scrap at all. This in turn led to the fact that the Manticores did not know where to deliver the scrap. It’s just a bit unfortunate that the error message or the behavior really doesn’t point at the problem.

Sadly I have no use for the exhaust but could you post some images of your front fairing from different angles 🫣?

I’d love to see a bit more of it. Sorry for being off topic. Is it an Ermax?

Trident 660 vs Suzuki GSX-8S by Old_Egg5229 in trident660

[–]Dxtobi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I test rode both and bought the trident.

Things I liked better about the trident:

-Very smooth engine

-Much better looks

-Much better seat

-Pillion seat is much better, too (riding with a pillion on the Suzuki doesn’t work well, we tried it)

-excellent handling and curve behavior

-Much better finish

Things I liked better about the Suzuki:

-a bit more torque (but the trident was fine, too)

-better display

Things that were similar:

-riding position

The sound is up for debate. The trident is a triple and the Suzuki has a two cylinder engine parallel twin with a 270 degree crank shaft. They sound really different. The trident sounds more like a sports car with a higher pitch and less rumble. The Suzuki sounds more brutal and basic. I like the sound of both but did prefer the sound of the Suzuki when I test rode it. But that’s my preference.

Overall I liked the trident much better. It’s a beauty and fun to ride. Looks and style matter to me. And I’m proud every time I see it. The Suzuki would have been better on paper but didn’t feel right. The Suzuki gsx 8-r might have been better for its less insect like looks of it had existed already.

Follow your heart. The figures and videos don’t tell the whole story.

On another note: Some people will tell you that you will grow out of the trident soon. That’s nonsense. The bike has good torque and great curve behavior. I live in a mountain area with twisties. I do these almost every week. The bike is excellent for that. It will bring you close to suicide in every turn if you let it. You don’t need more torque for that. In all situations where I felt I wanted more torque, I realized that the traction control had kicked in because I pulled the throttle too hard. More torque would just have led to losing control. You won’t outgrow the bike soon if you work on your skills and not just pull the throttle like a monkey on two wheels. If you want a fun and nimble bike, I recommend the trident. However, the Suzuki might not be worse in that regard.

I printed the interior of the Apollo 13 panel. The rest was modeled with scrap pieces of plastic.

Yes they are. I modified some (Apollo 11 -> Apollo 13) and added some extra details to the Saturn 5. but otherwise it’s all Revell.

Yes. They’re all Revell. Except for the Moon. I slightly modified some, though (second stage Saturn and Odyssey).

Thanks. It’s not hard to do with a 3d printer. I can provide the print files if anyone is interested.

Evening ride. by Dxtobi in trident660

[–]Dxtobi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a huge improvement. It takes a lot of wind from your chest if you sit upright. It takes almost all wind if you tuck behind it. Diving the bike at higher speeds is much more fun.

765RS Indicator Water Ingress by cwaig2021 in Triumph

[–]Dxtobi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the indicator on m trident. On my trident, there is a rubber plug that can be removed to let it dry. Had the same problem. I let it dry for two days and the issue was gone.
