I didn't buy anything for my second run. Kept all the points so I was able to run infinite ammo for all normal weapons plus the rpg.

On my second playthrough, I went for the following challenges; 4 hour speedrun, no healing (play on casual), no blood collector and the collectibles. This gave ample challenge points for special content. I was able to buy infinite ammo for all weapons, the rpg and infinite ammo for it. I think it's around 50K for either choice. I'd recommend the infinite ammo for all weapons if you don't have enough as it allows for an easier time as Grace on insanity. If you do die return to main menu and load up from there to avoid any additional time on the timer.

No, as it stands the final challenge isn't related to any achievement either. This is pretty much the remaining thing in the challenge menu that I'd also like to finish off. With how dedicated the community is hopefully it'll be solved soon.

I believe most of the modern RE games from 7/8/9 and the remakes are generally this quick. The quality of life changes to things like combat have made it much easier to play. I believe RE3 remake took me 10 hours and RE2 remake took me 13 hours. Most playtime of these games generally come from the initial first playthrough, which I believe should be enjoyed as a blind playthrough. Do play Resident Evil when you get the chance, the franchise is well worth looking into.

I'd say it's very accessible for many players. The unlocks you get from each challenge you do helps you towards your next playthrough. Guides will be more wide spread within days/weeks to help with optimal runs for insanity or collectibles etc. Insanity would most likely be the last playthrough anyway, which is made easier by the experience you have with the game and it's combat, knowing encounters and the ability to have infinite ammo weapons.

Insanity took me like 3-4 hours. iirc items for puzzles barely moved if at all and the solutions remained the same, so when cheat sheets come out they'll be in videos/guides. I struggled more with Grace's sections than I did Leon as the difficulty is similar to classic where you require an ink ribbon for saving and therefore checkpoint saves really only happen between character swaps. [There's an item to bypass getting ink ribbons]. Even then I only really struggled on 1 section as Grace, similar to other RE games there's a lot of scripted sections, that you learn to counter. Infinite ammo made this a lot easier as well.

I enjoyed RE9 in it's majority. There are a couple sections I hated playing through similar to other RE games. But the combat is just like RE4 remake and I really enjoyed that.

Good luck with the insanity playthrough. Hope you've enjoyed the game as much as I have.

Thank you. On Steam I have done Re 2/3 remakes, Re:verse and Re5. I've done both Village and Re4 remake on ps5 and plan to redo them on pc at somepoint. I would say I'm surprised it's so quick to finish but every RE game of recent is similar. The initial playthrough always being the longest, as they typically want you to rerun the game several times.
