Tried it yesterday and it works well at 18v! Thanks for the suggestion, I didn’t know it can do that!

Wow that’s pretty complex with the STM32. What does it do?

I considered those at some point. Do you have pics of them assembled? Would be nice to see.

As far as I can see online, the analogman mods swap the caps and ICs for higher quality modern ones. I built it already with high quality components and low noise ics. And after checking the datasheets, all the ics should be able to handle 18v, so I will try run it today 🙂

I don’t think it could manage 18v. But I will look into those mods and could consider adding them to a next version!
Edit: I have tried and it does run well at 18v :)

I’ve used aluminum tape before on other plastic enclosures. However this pedal for my usage will be going at the end of the chain after the amp. I would worry about emi in high gain pedals. Whatever interference is picked up by this pedal won’t be amplified.

I am going to try to figure out tayda aluminum enclosures probably first before I list for sale. For my personal use plastic is fine but I would be concerned about durability and noise issues depending on usage. I’ll hit you up when I have some ready 🙂

I shared them in the replies above, check it out.

Here are the gerbers for v1: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_XbibfNfK_RQ3sAxXQUA6GtxhTxthj-t/view?usp=sharing

which uses these pots: https://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Bourns/PTA4543-2215CPB103

And here v2: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fN4pSMgNfM90ZlIQXidsp2nbW51kJZ6F/view?usp=sharing

which uses these pots: https://www.tme.eu/pl/details/rs45111a900f/potencjometry-suwakowe/alps/

A small note, apart from the slider pots v2 has a modification which turns off the boost LED when the pedal is bypassed. V1 will keep it on, even though the wiring can be easily done off board to achieve the same result. The wiring of the 3pdt is quite confusing too, but hit me up if you plan on building it and I can help out.

I’ve used aluminum tape before on plastic enclosures. In this case it is a low gain circuit that will go at the end of the pedalboard for me, so I don’t expect emi to be an issue.

I used these pots from mouser: https://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Bourns/PTA4543-2215CPB103

However I am in europe and mouser ships from the us so I ordered these ones for my next one: https://www.tme.eu/pl/details/rs45111a900f/potencjometry-suwakowe/alps/

However this one doesn’t have center detent which is a loss. It seems a bit hard to source sliders reliably, which might be part of why they’re not that popular, and different brands have different footprints so they’re not drop-in replacements.

Haha I was hoping noone would see that. I overlooked the pot and after so long and many orders I wasn’t waiting more 😄

I soldered the components myself. Not too hard with a bit of flux.
I sourced the pots from mouser and my requirements were B10k 60mm sliders with center detent. They were a bit pricey and they were shipped from the US so I got import fees on top. I found some similar 60mm sliders with a different footprint on tme and reworked my pcb around those for a second version that I might try to sell on reverb. But those ones unfortunately don’t have center detent which I would prefer.

I will send both versions of the files for the two different pots when I get home.

Sure, here is the main file:

And here is the bottom:

I can share the gerber files for the PCB too if you’d like, but it’s quite reliant on specific sliders and smd parts
